Agree about Baker’s, but disagree about McCoy’s (I like it).

Sheffield looks like a really nice area.

Colin's Doctor was always a bit of a madman. I always thought his outfit was a reflection of his (somewhat) broken mind.

Can't lie I enjoy the show.. She did a good job. I felt she had the scattered mind that you expect from Doctor Who from previous shows.

I haven't seen the second episode yet, but the first episode was decent enough.  Only real complaint was that Whitaker seemed to be doing an impression of Matt Smith.  Hopefully, she evolves into her own.  I loved the 11th Doctor, but I don't want a rehash-- especially this soon.

I read the new writer has no interest in using any of the previous villains or monsters & wants to start fresh.

But hell, episode 2 & we've got toxic water & sentient talking bandages.
Kinda scraping the bargain basement monsters already!

Come on now, we've had alien fat babies in the past.

Wasn't a fan of tonight's episode. It felt like an episode of Quantum Leap.

Also it didn't make sense. Why would someone from the 79'th century be concerned with race when by his time there's aliens every which way.

It was a weird episode.
Don't know what was more disturbing...the depiction of racism or the Doctor getting choked because she's female now.

Banksy reference was funny.

Hilarious also that Graham the bus driver goes under cover twice...as a bus driver!

Hours later...I can't shake off the weirdness of this episode.

I know previous Doctors have had story lines that touch on actual historical events but why the need to put a spin on Rosa Parks?
Manipulating everything to get Rosa on the bus & the bus to be filled with people kinda shifts the credit to Doc & her crew & away from Rosa's courageous act.

As Clownprince stated, why the need to stop that turning point in Earth's history when the guy was from the future & a different planet?

havent seen the episode let...but did race ever come up that big in passed episode

Because Martha was able to walk around ok for the most part in the past. Yes it one episode where she had to be maid for a few months. And her family end up enslave to a white man they called the master. But for the most part wasn't brought up

Same with Jack able to make out with an army dude in front of everyone during world war 2 without much reprecussions.

From what I’ve gathered, everyone loves this episode. The podcast radio free skaro gave it glowing reviews. I feel like people like it because they have to like it based on subject matter.

So far I love the cast. I was one of those that didn’t want the female doctor, only because everyone was telling me that I had to, and that Doctor Who was broken but now a woman was here to fix it. I don’t care about all that.  I just want my science fiction. I love the companions so far and I believe that’s Graham is my favorite.

Weird is still the key word I'm using.

Like the episode with the Roman soldiers openly talking about their sexuality...weird.

Yes, I can't stand that episode. It gets it all wrong and doesn't make sense from a writing standpoint.
