Blimey, Jamie Mathieson (writer of the previous ep and the current Flatline) is solid.
Fucking loved this ep as well.

Watch Mummy on the Orient Express.

"Stand down soldier, the war is over..." was a bit of an anti-climax, let down.

the fuck
he did exactly what he said he would.
He dismantled the concept of the mummy in 66 seconds.

If he'd teleported the thing away, or sonic'd the device, that would have been worse.

That last episode was probably my favorite one this season. Those 2D entities were a really cool concept. I'm still waiting for a full on team up between Danny and the Doctor though.

Anyway I have a theory about the finale. We know its going to be about Missy, Cybermen, and probably the people/robots she keeps taking to the "Promise Land". We also know Missy has some kind of connection to The Doctor. So here is my theory. Missy is River after she does and gets put in the Libraries computer database. After being stuck in there for a long time she begins to mentally break down. She also figures out a way to download other people and some robots into the database which is now The Promise Land. The Cybermen will be used as shells to bring them back to the real world.

Next ep, most likely. Expecting it to be a bit like School Reunion.

I doubt it'd be River.
I'm on board with the robots being from the promised land (Or the Cybermen being parts of those robots.)

Currently I'm guessing Missy is either

Death (previously not appeared on TV, but has been big in expanded universe)
or
The White Guardian

Knowing Moffat it's going to be neither.

From memory...didn't explain who brought them all together or why the mummy was targeting the sick & injured....?

GUS the machine on the train brought them all together, (or rather the person behind Gus) and the Foretold was a programmed soldier who COULDN'T STOP FIGHTING so it was picking off the weak and feeble on every journey it was on (ie, the flag)

I must admit New Who has a tendency to have these kind of explanations in small lines, but these lines were there.

Cool. Yeah.
These subtle explanations are easily missed when watching with an 8 yr old kid wanting more mummy than talk...

In Flatline, did anyone else notice the TARDIS in Siege mode looked a lot like the Pandorica Box?
