I’m out of the loop... didn’t Connor get in trouble with the law, and a resulting civil suit?

He did! I think he will be seeing court rooms for the next few years. There was a fear the legal issues were going to kick him out of the US thus end his fighting career. He got over that hurdle.

How much money is he looking at losing in the civil suit(s)? I'd think he'd want to settle ASAP.

Well, the striking in general isn’t as entertaining as in boxing and kickboxing, and the rules encourage people to stand, so the draw is the personalities and match-ups. And right now there aren’t that many good ones.

Funny enough, it's the opposite for me. Don't get me wrong, I love Glory, Lumpinee, Lion Fight, boxing, etc., but they come off as one dimensional compared to MMA, where surprises are more abundant even in the stand-up because of all the variables, much smaller gloves, less need for ref interruptions in the action because clinches lead to knees and elbows, etc.

Case in point, UFC 229 last night was awesome, full stop.
