Yeah he was pretty cool; it took a few decades but they even finally made a "action figure" for the guy.

Early Hama GI Joe was one of the first comics I started reading, and Kwinn was one of my favorite characters. It blew my mind that a "bad guy" could be written both competently and sympathetically. He had a great look, and unlike a lot of other minority characters at the time, especially Natives, he was written in a way that showed his culture without making it a caricature. I.e. he wasn't armed with a whaling harpoon.

According to Dr. Venom most Eskimo can't swim; so that's an unusual skill for his people.  Though I suspect Dr. Venom was just a wee bit racist.

It happens but they tend to look a bit less like Kwinn and abit more like a pro-NBA player.  Built but lanky.
