I'ma just gonna sticky this so we'll have a general place to go to if someone (like me) fucks something up and can't set it straight.

If you have issues with computers or anything and think the boffins on Herochat can help you, post here.

So I actually do have a problem. All my user folders are set to read only, and while I can uncheck them, as soon as I have clicked apply and ok, it goes back to being read only.

But anyway Dutch, if some folders are doing that you may need to "take ownership" of the folder.  I would assume whatever you login with is the main user or administrator.  If you log in as the admin, you should be able to right click the folder and click the "take ownership" tab.

By helped I assume you mean it worked.

Because if it didn't work, I don't see how it could have helped.

Have you tried forcing an unexpected reboot?

Unexpected reboot. Have your laptop on, and slowly sidle up to it, reading a newspaper when suddenly BAM?

How can I trick my computer into downloading tranny porn when I'm pretending to look at straight porn?
