If Gunn was still unapologetically making these jokes (which did seem to get a bit too much at times), I could see a case for Disney dropping him. But firing him for something he did BEFORE they hired him? For which he apologized and didn’t continue doing? Naaaah, overreaction by Disney.

This is not like Roseanne who did crazy comments in the past and then continued doing them... and then apologized after getting fired but immediately backpedalled out of apologizing.

And really, why aren't people looking at Gunn's filography?  I get that Troma movies are not mainstream but even in Super, you had a scene where Ellen Paige rapes Dwight form the Office and it's played for laughs.  Hell, even in the GOTG movie, there is a running gag about space pirates legit wanting to kill and eat a child.  That's actually kinda dark when you get down to it, but no one would accuse Gunn of advocating cannibalism.  Once you get down to it, it's weird that when Gunn made a joke about a monkey raping a boy, people get pissed but those people are okay with a joke about an alien eating a boy.

I patiently await someone...guess who.... coming in and going on about how Gunn made that joke because he's in with the elites and probably has alot of masonic/satanic imagery and such in his movies

Gunn made that joke because he's a globalist elite with satanic symbolism in his movies. Also he's a willing contributor to the slavery of blacks all over the world

So if comedians make a tasteless joke...

...is ok if they're in the 'context' of comedy?

What exactly is the criteria here for losing your job?

This sucks for the franchise but I completely understand why he was let go. It's really the only move Disney could make. Yeah, he apologised but it's not that simple. He made A LOT of very tasteless/disturbing jokes. That's bad PR that Disney can't afford and it would've definitely affected movie sales if he was kept on.

Btw, did anyone here a really read the tweets? Because they were pretty bad and, again, A LOT of them.

They were bad. But in the sense of bad taste stupidly done on social media.
I also got the impression they were personal running in-jokes & not an outing that he was a pedo.

There is more of a political agenda being played here than Gunn's reputation being a threat to Disney.

Bruh, he deleted over 10,000 tweets. That's ridiculous and if you think that's simply "bad taste" then I don't know what else to say.

Apparently the Fox-Disney deal is going ahead.

I've always wondered how the MCU can incorporate mutants into their verse at this stage?

Pretty easily with time and reality manipulation.

If only they had some means of making Phase 4 iconic and tying it to a new team since a bunch of Avengers are retiring from their roles...

Iron Fist trailer.  We finally get to see the mask and K'un L'un.  K'un L'un seems to have a more all-encompassing ancient world aesthetic, which I kinda figured it would have since we've seen multiple people from K'un L'un so far and they all seem to be different races, to say nothing of Danny's spiritualism seemingly blending multiple Eastern philosophies and religions.

The mask itself is good but it looks odd on the white gi.  Once he gets the green costume, it'll probably look better, assuming his mask will look like the one he had in K'un L'un.
