1. Avengers
2. Captain America: Civil War
3. Guardians of the Galaxy 2
4. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
5. Avengers: Infinity War
6. Guardians of the Galaxy
7. Thor: Ragnarok
8. Black Panther
9. Dr Strange
10. Iron Man
11. Avengers: Age of Ultron
12. Ant Man
13. Spider-Man: Homecoming
14. Iron Man 2
15. Ant-Man & the Wasp
16. Iron Man 3
17. Captain America: The First Avengers
18. Thor

Still need to see Captain Marvel. I'd want to rewatch Thor: the Dark World & Incredible Hulk again before I really weighed in, but I'm sure they're in the lower end of course. They drop off a bit after...let's say Black Panther, then more substantially after Age of Ultron. Then they're all fairly comparable.

Ones I really, really enjoyed:
Captain America: Winter Soldier
Iron Man 1
Thor 1
Avengers
Spider-Man: Homecoming

Ones I liked:
Iron Man 3
Captain America: The First Avenger
Avengers 3: Infinity War
Ant-Man
Black Panther

Ones I didn't like overall but had elements that I liked:
Incredible Hulk (to be honest I don't even remember this one)
Avengers 2: Age of Ultron (this maybe should be one group up)
Iron Man 2
Thor: Ragnarok

Ones that I thought were dull, formulaic, did not interest me:
Dr. Strange
Captain Marvel
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Thor: Dark World
Captain America: Civil War

I’m kinda surprised you consider the Guardians and Civil War formulaic as those movies broke away from the mold more than previous MCU movies.

Civil War undid so much of the characterization of the previous movies. The only point of the movie was just to show a big fight that served no purpose. I felt the same way about the comic book story.

I thought the GoG movies were so boring I could barely finish them. Either one. The stories were dull, they completely overdid it with the humor to the point that they seemed like parodies of superhero action movies, they were treacly as hell, and they relied way too much on music to set the mood. Starlord is annoying.

Apparently they were no banger like fucking Thor 1, haha

Thor 1 was dope, you goon.

I actually like the first Thor a bit more than Ragnarok.

Right but hiw did they follow a formula?  They are still pretty different, good or bad, right?

TBH you were meant to interpret my last category as "dull/formulaic/did not interest me."

To a certain extent, all superhero movies are formulaic that cling pretty closely to Campbell's Journey of the Hero. Adhering to a formula (character starts off flawed, is presented with a challenge, undergoes loss or trauma which stimulates change, becomes the hero who can overcome the challenge) is part and parcel of the genre. But how you get from A to Z is what makes a story interesting or boring. I felt like I knew exactly what was going to happen in GoG, and it didn't interest me at all.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to hate GoG, though. This is my list, not a condemnation of the franchise.

Civil War didn't "undo" any character progression. It furthered it. Neither Tony nor Steve are in the same position/frame of mind as their first films.

3: Iron Man
4: Ant-Man
5: Ant-Man and the Wasp
6: Guardians of the Galaxy

Ones I liked but I'm not bonkers over

1: Dr. Strange

Riv1 what's up with Black Panther?

RIV has an irrational hatred of the character.
