Yup.
Pretty quirky.

It's always good to stumble across something you have no idea what it's about & enjoy how the story plays out.

Feels like Miss Peregrine's, BioShock and Watchmen fused.

This show is weird and they haven't really explained a lot of it.  And I'm not talking about the end of the world or kids. I mean why is there a talking chimp and were did he come from.  Hell i'm still not 100 percent sure they all know the woman they call mom is a robot to name a few.

I'm watching the first episode. Since this just came out after Deadly class my brain is kinda stuck comparing the two. This is coming out of the gate with the dash of fun and heart DC is only just adding to it's show.

Anybody read the comic this is based on?

You can tell they went all out for this. I feel like something tragic will happen to Leonard, which sucks because he seems like a bro.

I just read the comic after finishing the series, and while there are bits and pieces from it in the Netflix show the two are very different.  I didn't think the comic was that great, honestly, which surprised me given the high praise and Eisner win.  Maybe if I had read it before watching the show it would have come off better.

There are concepts and cool scenes in this show and it seems to be going for more of, "Tell don't show" method of tension building, which only works for so long.

I read the comic, and enjoyed it, but for some reason have no interest in seeing this show, at least right now. Maybe I'll catch it down the road.

I’ve read most of the books. I knew they’d have to make some changes for this series, but I didn’t expect to enjoy as much of the creative decisions that they’ve  made as I am right now. Pleasant surprise so far.
