^^^i was a huge Power & Glory mark, so my vote always goes to them.

Your singles list is good, too. I can see all those guys having at least one good to great title run.

Everyone loves P&G in retrospect but at the time, nobody gave a shit about them. I guess the main thing is they had some amazing double team moves. They were both OK, if not great, promos. Roma was an amazing athlete though, even if he was genuinely an arrogant son of a bitch by all accounts, and Herc was a better worker than most of the late 80s steroid freaks - you could tell he'd been in the business for a while.

I’ve never run across any other P&G fans. Nice to know they have a following though.
I heard about Roma’s arrogance when he was a horseman. Him and Flair butted heads?

Read an article just now that posited teaming Lashley & Apollo Crews (huge guy, super athletic not as huge guy) as a new version of P&G.
I can see that.
The article didnt mention it but, they even have a loud mouth manger, Lio Rush on deck.

I loved Power and Glory as a kid. Their finisher is what my cousins and I most emulated when we would wrestle, because it was just so cool to our nine year old minds

hey did the Bushwhackers ever win a major tag title?

Which move did you execute, the superplex or the splash?

Towards the end of their run, they started using another finisher, where Herc would pick up the victim in a torture rack (his old singles finisher) and Roma would come off the top with an elbow. At the time, they'd started wearing long tights and Herc shaved off his beard but kept his moustache, so he looked like a roided-up Jake The Snake Roberts.

I can't remember reading anything about Roma clashing with Flair but I know everyone thought Roma was totally wrong for the Horsemen. It's weird because later on you got guys like Steve McMichael joining but at that time, I think the Horsemen was a home for big stars only; Roma was new to WCW and he was mainly known for being in perceived jobber teams in WWE (P&G and the Young Stallions). Having a big mouth didn't help. Shame because he was a fucking fantastic athlete ... he could leap up to the top rope from the ring like no-one else I've seen, he was handsome and he had a great physique. He could've been money if he'd kept his ego in check. I'd guess he probably carried himself backstage like he was king shit and nobody else thought he deserved the spot in the Horsemen.

I'd always be the one doing the splash after my cousin Doug (who was a fair bit bigger than me) did the superplex.

 ^^^cool.
I wouldve been the plexer, i was way too large to do the splash.

@Nick
I’d forgotten about that other finisher!

It should be noted that my cousin Doug? Yeah, Terry Taylor beat up two of his uncles (my other cousins) once.
