Anyone seen this yet on Netflix?

Starring Sandra Bullock & John Malkovich.

It's difficult to describe the film without the obvious comparisons to A Quiet Place.
It doesn't quite achieve the suspense of A Quiet Place.

Whereas silence was the key factor, Bird Box is about the lack of sight in order to survive.
Playing on a lack of vision rather than trying to stay quiet makes this film feel more credible as far as the surviving characters are concerned.

The most frightening feature about this movie is the amount of plastic surgery Bullock's done to her face.
No joke...she 100% looks like Michael Jackson.
I seriously wonder if that's gonna affect her acting career.

She looked pretty much like older Sandra Bullock in Ocean's 8. Did sure get something new or was it makeup? I thought she was supposed to be playing someone much younger in this movie.

The last time I saw her on film was Gravity.

It's the nose....along with the shoulder length hair.

I swear, watch this movie juz to be shocked at the uncanny resemblance.

I liked it.

I kinda wonder if they were going for the evil spirit (I.E. vampire) thing with the creatures here. They never seemed to be able to enter homes and it started in Romania IIRC

Even the novel it's based on simply refers to them as "creatures" & the whole situation as "The Problem."

It was a post apocalyptic story &  I get the impression the author never had no desire to go into any depth of what they were meant to be.

Sometimes horror works better with fewer explanations.

To be honest the vampire theory for Birdbox is more credible than the alien invasion of A Quiet Place.
