Yea.  Just saw them announce the Tsunami cancellation.   The search link has photos of the damage.  Epicenter 7.5 miles north of Anchorage.  They're getting hit with aftershocks.

Would that be enough to screw with glaciers, like knock some ice into the ocean and fuck with the ecosystem?

I'd think potentially.   It's already damaged roads near the airport & they've shutdown the airport for now.  I recall a Tsunami as a result of part ou'd a glacier breaking off.  See If I can locate that info.

Here ya go.   I remember this due to a college report on Tsunamis I did.  The article is about a more recent one.   But, I've posted the one I had cited in my report.

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/one-of-biggest-tsunamis-ever-recorded-was-set-off-three-years-ago-by-melting-glacier

"Shugar said the tsunami was not the biggest known, but it’s in the same genre.

“The biggest that’s ever been recorded was actually just down the Alaskan road, in Lituya Bay, and it was a remarkably similar kind of event, a landslide came down, hit the terminus of a glacier, and went into the fjord water itself,” he said. “In that case it was preceded by a large earthquake.”

That wave reached 1,719 feet in the year 1958. There’s no telling, of course, what kinds of violent events the Earth may have produced in the more distant past, but it’s likely there were tsunamis more extreme still."

It was interesting talking to my dad and sister about it Friday (they both live in Anchorage).

Sister - Not that big of a deal, lots of smaller quakes, going to see what stores were open.

Dad - POST APOCALYPTIC SCENARIO!! Gathering supplies, preparing to shoot looters if necessary.
