The virus hadn’t infected Venom yet, if I remember right. It got him as he was laying in the sewer, half-dead after getting his head stomped in.

Right.  That's the fight we're talking about.  Juggy pretty much beat him to death.

Yes Venom was beaten to death. Virus saved his life.

I know, I was referring to the first fight. Juggernaut is basically invincible and Venom was taking some massive blows pretty damn well.

Its not just the virus. A lot of his madness was due to 3 entities,
Dusk (The mastermind), Necromancer, & Paranoia (the one who
was mostly fucking with Eddie's mind).

With the Mercury-Virus powering him, he was actually going toe to toe
with Juggernaut. Not causing any damage, but he was actually able to
send him flying with punches, whereas before he could slightly affect
him, but nowhere close to the same extent.

After being transported to Dusk's realm of madness, Venom came
back with the Mercury Virus nearly dead and out of his system. He
literally broke in and just started punching Juggernaut, who literally
ran away saying, "I don't get paid to take this kind of abuse."

That last one was an especially embarrassing defeat for Cain to be
driven off by Venom.

Afterward, Eddie went back to the sewers and returned the virus
there.

I never took it as Cain running away so much as deciding the fight was worthless as it was no longer a part of his mission.

Aboslutely it did.  Juggernaut already knew he wasn't gonna get paid and that his mission was a bust.  Venom showed up and the two kind pushed each other around the apartment, then Juggy made the "I don't get paid enough" statement.  It wasn't the first time Juggernaut decided to leave a fight when he felt it wasn't worth fighting any longer.

Not really no, but I doubt you'll see it any other way so, agree to disagree.

 :o :o :o

Namor's got this.   For a guy who dives to the depths of the bottom of the ocean to be worried about being cut. Even by carnage who does no form of exercise to increase the strength of his symbiote.  Which, we've seen Eddie brock use to his advantage when combined with the symbiote.  I don't think the symbiotes are generally in  the 70 + cl on average.  I can see them in the 20 - 40 cl top.  And that's even with the push the symbiotes have been getting.   Pete didn't get a strength amp when he was combined with the symbiote.   But,  then that was probably due to them not having fleshed out the symbiote at that time.

If I remember correctly, the symbiote copied Peter's powers and gave them to Eddie, and I believe that from Eddie a mutated version of them has passed on to each of that symbiote's descendants.

(I know that Carnage, like Venom, used to be immune to spider sense, but I think later writers have forgotten this.)

And Carnage used to be described as stronger than Spidey and Venom combined.
