Roman Reign vs Triple H: THE BATTLE OF THE MEGA PUSHES
« on: September 18, 2018, 09:06:51 AM »
People seem to forget before Roman there was the WWE doing everything to get Triple H over.

So which push is the worse and why?

Only time will tell.

HHH has a 9-12 record at WM, giving him the record for most losses.
He’s headlined WM 3 consecutive times.

Reigns is 4-2, w. 4 consecutive headlines.

Just as something to go by/for you to blow off to make some retarded point instead. :P

HHH definitely had leg up, but he worked his ass off, too. Reigns just got an underserved push like Lesnar.

Triple H paid his dues and worked his way up and deserved his spot when he got there. His run SUCKED and made everything awful, but it's not like he was just made a god from the word go. Also, his handling of NXT absolves all sins.

Roman has been handed everything and has been treated as a megastar since he debuted. And main eventing 4 Manias in a row is pretty crazy. Hogan never did that. Austin never did that. Rocky never did that. Hell, did Cena ever do it?

Hogan main evented 4 in a row: 5,6,7, and 8 (that one wasn't for the belt, but it was the last match)

Hunter was a better talent all-around. Highlighted by a significant edge on the mic. So Roman's push is less meritorious.

Hunter's might actually end up more damaging though. The talent adversely affected in one manner or another included Jericho, RVD, Booker, Kane, Orton, and Goldberg. Reigns has Strowman, Ambrose, Rollins, and Miz.

^^^speaking of RVD, i -think- he’s taken over UT’s spot as having the longest WM winning streak.

To counter your point: all those guys "buried" by HHH still managed to get over (hence why you are able to say "Look at all these great guys HHH went over!"). Who knows how big Strowman, Rollins, Balor, etc could be without Reigns in their way?

I'd say the very worst of Triple H's reign of terror eclipses the lows of the Roman Reigns ongoing debacle. Katie Vick, Chris Jericho killing HHH's dog, the derailment of the Summer of Punk...Hunter didn't just come out on top; talent got hamstrung hard.

Then there's that ridiculous incident where WWE took some video game news outlet to task for attempting to (?)/publishing a picture of Kane standing over HHH in the newest WWE game at the time; their complaint being that HHH was depicted in a vulnerable position, looking weak, some goofy shit like that. Not even RR's Suffering Succotash moment comes close to that level of absurdity....then again, Michael Cole constant BIG DOG bullshit keeps increasing my chances of suffering a catastrophic aneurism at some point.
