Does Marvel have editors?

Okay, so in X-Men Namor is a good guy, but in Avengers his gone psycho evil.

Sometimes She-Hulk looks normal or she's super hulk like--and her intelligence seems to go from smart to dumb as a rock.

Shouldn't someone be telling someone that they need to change something?

Considering the kind of crap that gets put into print, I'm going with a hard "NO."

Yes, they have them, but now no one is acting as an editor in chief anymore.  Each little group of writers/artists/editors for a group of books like the all the Avengers books or all the X-men or Spider-Man ones pretty much go their own way.
The only time they have full staff meeting now is to work out the next crossover sales plan or to get the new marching orders in order to stay current with what the movies will do. If a character the movies want to use is dead, retired, or in a wheelchair. Don’t worry folks! They’ll be back on the front lines before opening day!

Editors have been basically talent-scouts for...oh, twenty years now, give or take? Their job is to get writers/artists whose name will sell books, nothing else. They are not going to piss off a writer whose name would add tens of thousands of readers to a book by telling him that he can't do something because it contradicts page twelve, panel three of issue 201 from 1985.

Or when it contradicts something that’s been canon for 40 years.  “Hey boss, the new hot writer on Fantastic Four want’s the cosmic ray accident that gave them their powers to have been planned by Reed as a secret experiment.  Also he want’s Sue to have been underage when she and Reed started up.”  “Okay with me!”
Both of those were actual plot lines thankfully forgotten.

Editos have been ghot-writing for years now. Occasionally you'll get a writer-rockstar like Morrison or Waid or Bendis/Snyder and then once their style changes the game Editos think everyone has to write that way, because it's fail proof and the casuals love it. - Which they do, it boils down to the responsibilities of the job, which isn't fact checking and continuity/consistency anymore, but sales.

No they don't, b/c the public don't hold their feet to the fire. A few yrs ago Cable team of Xmen were caught red ahnded looking like t killed a bunch of people IIRC by the Avengers. The storyline was interesting and it sort of explained their otlaw status yet Colosus and severl oter members of Cable team are members of good standing in the Xmen  you'd think at least 1 member of the Avengers like Cap would come calling at the Xmansion and ask the Xmen to explain the massacre.
