Luke Cage 2 episodes 10-13

Episode 10 was great.  Iron Fist was done well and I doubt people will have have as many problems with him this time around.  Finn Jones is a good actor and can turn in a good performance with the right script and direction.  The big fight with Danny and Luke busting up Bushmaster's warehouse was really well done.  Also, Mariah's attack on the Jamaicans at the end was cold blooded.  That was some Game of Thrones shit.

That whole finale episode seemed more like an hour long epilogue than a season finale.  IF was better here than his previous appearances but that not a high bar to pass though.  Also Cage was saying a lot of stuff but not following though which bothered me in the final 2 episodes. Didn't get why Tilda was upset about not getting the club when she basically said she wanted nothing to do with anything involving her family.  And that final scene why the fuck were all those ppl doing at the club at the same time let alone even being there unnecessary and made no sense.  But as much as I'm complaining  I like this season more than the first (overall anyway first half of season one was great) just the last 2 episode didn't sit right with me bad writing.

Episode 11 really stepped things up.  Everything is coming to a head nicely.  I'm kind of wondering where Danny went.  He showed up to take out Bushmaster's warehouse and make sure Luke was okay, then he just left?  I figured he'd stay behind at least long enough to make sure Luke found Bushmaster. Also, when Mariah was imagining Mama Mable and Uncle Pete, I thought Cornell would show up too, if for no other reason than to have the actor make a cameo.

Only one episode with Iron Fist, huh?  I expected more from the hype, but I guess I'm not really surprised since these Netflix shows seem to hate crossover and can't pace themselves to save their lives.

They had Colleen earlier and Misty's arm is from Rand.  Then there was an episode where they hid out in a Rand building.  They have the setup for a longer crossover, but I guess Finn Jones had to go back to shooting his own show.

That ending was pretty ominous, Luke Corleone indeed.

If Finn wasn't such a shit actor, I'd be disappointed.

They even ripped off the final scene from the godfather.

So I finished the last two episodes.  I feel like episode 13 could have been two episodes long with everything that was going on.  With the amount of fluff in episode 12 (several scenes dedicated to Shades telling us and Misty things we/she already knew), I would have thought they wasted a lot of screen time.  It didn't make a lot of sense for Luke to take control of Harlem.  Sure, the season built up to him dealing with his darker side, but this ending kind of came out of nowhere.  Also, the Bushmaster arc had an anti-climax.  Considering they were gonna end Mariah the way they did, they might as well have Bushmaster get his revenge.

It's frustrating that this show knows how to build up great season but doesn't quite finish them well.  Over all, I liked this season better than season one since they didn't have Diamondback, but I kinda wanted a better finish.

Finished do 11 last night. This is a REALLY good season. Bushmaster is fantastic as a villain in every way. Mariah is a bit too much at times, but her and Shades are still entertaining as shit.

Finished 10 and Danny wearing a green and yellow "Sweet Xmas" hoodie is awesome lol

Glad Misty took down the Evil Light-skinned.

So they are doing the Daredevil story from the Bendis arc with Cage now? Interesting.

So Tilda can sing??? Like she wasn't attractive enough...

Anyways, finished the season and I liked it better than the first. Bushmaster was a fantastic "villain" and I'm glad he's still alive. Mariah is pure evil! But Alfre Woodard playing her works so well.

Surprised by the direction the end took. But I also see how it could lead to a Heroes for Hire series and him being with JJ (please!)

The last scene REALLY should have been the door closing on Misty's face. This show is too fucking obsessed with musical numbers, though, so we had to end with another dumb concert.

Up to the final episode and the improvements over season one has been nothing short of impressive. This might just be the consistently best season of any Marvel Netflix series thus far. It doesn’t quite hit the same highs that Daredevil did, but it never really hits that hard slump that the Netflix shows tend to suffer around a third of the way through.
