Also shes like 12. Health concerns are probably less on her mind then the type of existential crisis she's young through and neither has the time it mental maturity to process.

.

Hell, if I found out I was a clone, my concerns would be mostly practical. Will I develop the sort of health problems animal clones have in the real world? Is there some way I can parlay my clone status into money, like charging for interviews and autographs? Maybe gain some celebrity status by writing a book about my life as a clone, and the "trauma"(which would be mostly faked) of discovering I was a clone? ?

That's the most beautiful over analyitical critique of a movie I've read.

So anyway, why did they need to rescue the dinosaurs on the island when they can just whip up batches with their crazy DNA tech?

It's dramatically cheaper to breed them or use blood from dinosaurs already alive. Creating them from DNA doesn't always work, which is why BioSyn ("Dodgson! Dodgson! We've got Dodgson here!") tried to steal the viable embryos in the book and first movie.

For Henry Wu it's much easier because he refined the process, but it's still no guarantee.

I also feel like he went from eager beaver scientist, to evil meglomaniac for no real reason.

The Indian guy, Mizrani, was going to blame him for everything after the I-Rex escaped. At first he was like "Why are you blaming me? We've been making changes to them since day 1." "Yeah, but not like this! You're going down!"

If Mizrani didn't die in the helicopter crash, Wu probably would have been successfully blamed for everything.

I watch each one sooner or later, but honestly, I don't think any since the excellent original have been worth much other than the basic fun of seeing dinosaurs on screen.

Yeah, the first one is the only one I really loved.  JP2 had a lot of goofy things about it and I forgot JP3 the moment I stopped watching it.  Jurassic World was a fun romp but still didn't wow me the way the original did.  I'll give this one a shot eventually, but I'm not in a rush.

The more I think about that twist the weaker it seems, the ability to clone humans would be worth so much more than the ability to clone dinosaurs.

How was that a twist instead of a plot development leading into a third film?

Yeah I didn't see it as a twist either.

There was a rumour a couple of years ago of cloning dinosaur & human DNA to produce a "super soldier army."

-shrug-
This could potentially be the next movie...

SPOILERS IF YOU CONTINUE

Was this the darkest one yet?
That one dino wailing in the smoke and ash? The old man getting pillow smothered and his "grand daughter" finding his body?
