7/10 compared to the first movie being a 9/10.

Has some really cool scenes, and the Screenslaver was a decent villain. Just doesn’t flow as smoothly as the first, and the ending is not as satisfying.

Good but no where near as good as the first. Ending left a lot to be desired.  I think not having a villian as good as Syndrome is part of the problem.  Jack-jack vs the raccoon was the highlight. Also need more Edna.   Hell I'd watch a whole movie with her though.

Oh yeah, the raccoon scene was great. I thought Elastigirl investigating the Screenslaver apartment was also a well done tense moment.

But I did like that Elastigirl and Mr. I seemed to be nerfed in power/capability. Elastigirl could one punch goons in the first movie. I know she got semi-ambushed in the apartment, but I still felt she should have ended the fight instantly once she managed to tag the guy.

And Bob had way too much trouble with Underminer and his drill. For Bob’s strength level from movie one, Underminer should have been a mild annoyance.

Further, I felt the movie was setting up for a great Violet moment that never came.

My only complaint was the villain being extremely obvious.

I wouldn't say that I thought it was the brother at first.

Yeah, it's good. WAY more action-packed than the first one, and a bit less "Small character stuff", but I liked it. Some of the funniest stuff was in the trailer, but they left in some really good gags- including probably the best one. Despite a huge amount of "The Merch" focusing on Edna Mode, she's only in a pair of scenes, so don't worry about her being pushed too hard. She's great, but repetition of her would ruin what makes her fun.

The cynic in my notices a LOT of "The Merch" going on, here- there's a motorcycle AND a car, plus three costumes for Elastigirl, a ton of Jack-Jack forms, and more. Even the one scene with the raccoon is turned into a toy!

And yes, they show it off, and it is GLORIOUS. Many, near-endless scenes, almost entirely shot from behind Helen Parr's huge, glorious... wait- where was I?

OH YEAH! Great action, with some fun Supers (very minor characters), your trademark Modern-Day Disney Villain, and more. I do like how every character had stuff to do, cool actions scenes to show off, and some character bits. The Villain Reveal got REALLY obvious about ten minutes before it came off, largely because Odenkirk being the bad guy was so obvious that it was clearly a red herring (I mean, it's BOB ODENKIRK!).

Was good, beautiful animation. That it wasn’t on par with the first can be said of a good 90% of sequels. I felt they played up the 50’s/60’s vibe more in this one...but that may be bc I don’t remember the first one well enough at this point.
