MCU. I have never been much into Star Wars.

I can't stand Stat Wars. I even gave it an honest try a few years ago.

I feel like Star Wars is getting deluded as the prequels and sequels have really been disappointing for a lot of people.  The OT movies are classics and I don't think they will ever stop being classics.  The MCU has more good films than bad, but I don't know if people will be calling them classics 40 years from now.

Though, that isn't a fair statement either. Films have progressed technically so far since the OT, which is a larage part of what made it special. I feel like THE MCU movies will be looked at more a whole than individually, and that doesn't do films like GOTG and Thor: Ragnarok Justice. Either way, Infinity War is unprecedented and it deserves recognition for the way it has reached  that acheivement.

The OT is still looked at as a classic series.  I don't think technical effects have anything to do with it.  I do agree about the MCU being looked at as a whole.  The OT has a lot of that going on as well.  For instance, Empire Strikes Back is often considered the best Star Wars movie, but it doesn't stand on its own.  You have to have seen the first movie to really get a sense of how things drastically changed for the characters.  Meanwhile, you need to see the third movie to actually resolve the cliffhangers it sets up.  Infinity War is very much the same way.

After we started turning them into elaborate memes, the Prequels became my favorite Star Wars properties, by far. I've enjoyed the sequels, but Star Wars has never been the Holy Trilogy to me, so all the shit people whine about just comes off as them being whiny.

I'll take the MCU over the entirety of Star Wars, definitely.

MCU is definitely more to my liking/better. Phantom Menace is worse than any MCU movie and a lot of the other prequel/sequel stuff  has been just alright - there's a lot higher percentage of middlingly "meh" in the Star Wars verse at this point. The MCU stuff is more ambitious and diverse, more cohesive, and I like the characters more.

MCU. They haven't put out a bad movie. About the worst thing I can saw about them is The Inhumans and Natalie Portman's acting. And Star Wars has that same later problem.

There was a time this might have been a tough choice for me, but it's MCU all the way now.  MCU continues to get better and better while Star Wars declines.  If we include the EU stuff for Star Wars it's a little harder choice for me, I was into that for a long while, but then we'd probably include the comics for Marvel and it's no contest.
