It seems like the new show is about everyone being a piece of shit. The dad is an absentee father. The mom commits espionage. The pilot is a smuggler. The robot is a weapon of mass destruction. It's debatable if Smith is even the worst of the bunch.

In order to do a modern update of a classic 60s show you have to fuck up the characters, a nice edgy darkness so people now can relate.

Watched in all 10 episodes.
It's ok, nothing special.

I was a bit disappointed they spent the entire season on 1 planet.

Next season might be better.

TV Show reboots have a rather low probability of being worthwhile. Plus they can have the added negative of making me reexamine whether I truly enjoyed the classic show so much to begin with. Barring something being too intriguing to ignore, I usually skip them altogether or at least have a really quick hook.

I’m on episode 7 and was just shaking my head on the bad call on Judy. But then it clearly backfired on her.

That’s what you get for taking orders from an inexperienced 18 year old

Did it seem like that planet was extraordinarily unlucky for them all, one fucking thing after another... let's call it Murphy's World.

Yeah it’s one thing after the other

Also zero consequences for Judy or personal growth? K. Guess moving on.

I liked the fact that the Robinson family weren't initially stranded on their own & found other survivors.

But then it became a bit hokey that the planet was dying a few weeks after they landed.

And Dr.Smith was pretty cunning & intelligent but her logic that she just needed the robot by her side & everybody would then leave her alone on The Resolute was pretty stupid reasoning.

That's chicks for you, evil and sneaky as fuck but really not that logical.

Should have gone with the original male Dr Smith, David Thewlis or Michael Eklund would have good.

Everyone I know was raving about Parker Posey playingSmith.

I have no idea who she is...the name's familiar....the only film I've seen her in (according to Wiki) was Superman Returns...was she Lex's squeeze?
