True, but overall the “power levels” in the series seemed lower to me

...I take it you are buying the run?

You never answered this Jelly.

Quote
Over exaggerrated windbagegrry from hilariously insecure male nerds.

You don't need to put down and humiliate male characters (at almost every turn) to also have a strong female character; but that seems to be something Leftist writers (like Aaron) can't grasp.

Quote
And I'm one of the people who hjave been going ham on femninism for years on this board.

If you say so.

Quote
'cuckolded' please, keep your incredibly revealing insecurities to yourself kid.

Feel free to respond to any of the actual points I made. Thor went from:

- Aspirational Bodybuilding Idealized male to Disabled Average Physique male
- Confident Alpha Male to Self-doubting Cuck
- Inspirational Hero to ineffectual Loser

- She takes his hammer and his name AND (most ridiculously*) his skill...none of which she earned, classic example of the self-entitlement of leftist heroes.
*Actually the most ridiculous aspect of this might be when she starts using Asgardian speech patterns.  ::)
- She openly talks down to him and mocks his disability...if leftist heroes are willing to do that to someone they purportedly love/loved what kind of example is that and how was she ever likable?
- She's a total fucking Mary Sue start to finish (again another typical lefty trait) and this is again highlighted at the end when she defeats Mangog easily but Thor and Odin and all of Asgard (not to mention the Destroyer and War Thor before them) were ineffectual idiots (despite millenia of experience).

Quote
The comic is well done overall. period. Whining that Thor got replaced is hilarious as it's a staple of the mythos.

No one is whining Thor got replaced (as you note, that occasionally happens), they are complaining how the Thor character (and indeed his entire legacy) has been treated under Aaron.

Quote
And yeah, Odin being an abusive asshole has been there since Stan Lee and Kirby.

No it hasn't.

Odin was always a benevolent, wise, compassionate ruler who only wanted the best for his son. Under Aaron he's basically an evil, impotent, bullying dictator.

Years it stars well but later...
I loved anyway how Thor was depicted in first numbers, not a boring perfect shiny knight but someone who loved spilling blood from worthy foes.
He made him more human.

So what's after God of Thunder chronologically? The Mighty Thor book is Jane, right? What's the book with Thor running around with Jarnbjorn?

Thor: God of Thunder 1-25
Thor (Jane) 1-8
Mighty Thor (Jane) 1-23*, then 700-706 which comes out next month

*Unworthy Thor mini-series 1-5 which takes place during the early teen issues of the Mighty Thor series.  He rejoins the main series in #19.

He’s a great villain and the art really really suits him

I would read a series on the League if Realms in a heartbeat with the right art. Especially with Thor.

If you like this you will like the new Thanos series from issue 12 on, fantastic art and good eriting
