Sakurai and Kojima being friends was enough for Snake to get into Brawl, and Nintendo and  Bandai Namco have been working together for YEARS now on various titles including flagships like Mario Kart and Breath of the Wild

Goku is going to be in the new Smash

That how I feel. Nintendo would probably love to add just about any character any company wants them to use. If Nickelodeon was like, 'hey Nintendo you can use Sponge Bob" they would probably take them up on the offer.
