Why do they keep bringing him back?  The character is boring.
To be fair he sucks but...he's useful to keep battleboards alive.
Not to talk about hiw funny is to see Abu and PG pissed off.
There's a guy at KMC you all would -love-, then. He's completely unhinged, to the tune of threads w. pages in triple digits.

I actually think you could do something with the Sentry
WRONG

Look, I know he's had a rough patch, but I still think something can be salvaged. I thought the original mini-series was pretty good and...well, Bendis happens. There's always hope! :)

Sentry never really fit into the MU as a longterm character. Not sure how they will approach reintegrating him as such; or maybe he will only come and then go again.

No, he never really fit in.
When Marvel & Wizard tried that whole 'found a lost character design in the back of an old filing cabinet' bit, i could just look at the character and see it wasnt something Marvel would be looking to do.
I called bullshit at the comic shop/on Wizard's site.

I hope Sentry's thing becomes that his origin is radically redefined in ludicrous ways every time writers decide to do something with him.

"Lovechild of the Phoenix Force and Dormammu sealed in human form by a cucked Odin!"

"He is the Bogeyman. Sentry is his Negative Zone manifestation - a superhero! - created by Franklin Richards thinking too much about things."

"The only one of King Arthur's knights to find the Grail!"

"the result of Tesla's last great experiment, sabotaged by that accursed Thomas Edison!"

When is it released

Came out yesterday FYI.

Was actually quite interesting, better than I was expecting. Also a power showing that'll make you moist.

Cheers.

What a piece of trash.

EDIT:
Marvel’s handed the book, visually, to Kim Jacinto, who turned in average work.
There’s nothing inherently wrong w. it, but nothing inspired either. The man’s Deviantart page shows he’s capable of stretching beyond the ‘house style’ Marvel prefers, from its lesser known talent.
They dont seem to remrmber letting ppl experiment is how you get the next hot young artist. Guys like Bill Sienkiewicz and even Todd MacFarlane, would be incredibly frustrated starting out at present day Marvel.
But i digress.

Lemire writing, is basically the comics version of Natalie Portman in the movie YOUR MAJESTY.
Pretty obviously there for the paycheck, in order to be able to afford to do smaller, more creative projects.
While Lemire (like Portman, to continue the analogy) cant help but be good at anything he’s involved in, this will be no Black Hammer (or even BLACK SWAN).
The only way Marvel’s going to get anything groundbreaking here, out of a character they’ve tried since day one to make special, but only succeeded in making a joke, would be to give Lemire free reign, and i dont see them doing that.
Could Lemire do it? Sure. Does he want to? Maybe. But i think he knows why he’s there, and is perfectly okay having this on his resume, regardless.

Given the quality of books out there, the quality of work the creative team can actually produce, this book isnt worth the time.
I’m sure there’ll be enough ‘big bada-booms’ to keep the fanboys/battle board jockeys happy though, if nothing else.
