Wow, was it really that interesting?
I havent even really looked into/at that one. I'll check it out today.

EDIT
Man, how'd i miss this? Justin Jordan is a writer who's work i've liked since getting back into comics last year, and Rocafort's art here looks better than it did on Ultimates.

I have read it again and I still can't discern why I really enjoyed it, lol.

- The Story is okay, its mostly setup and backstory, no real plot at this juncture though it teases events bigger than just some dude swinging teleporting around New York solving Bank robberies.
- The Main Character seems fine (I didn't hate him).
- The Supporting Characters are believable enough.
- The Dialogue seemed natural.
- The Action was practically non-existent this issue..
- Decent part-Reveal/part-Cliffhanger ending.

Maybe I'm just really digging the potential it has (especially the design of the upcoming villains*), getting sort of an Invincible vibe from it as well.

*The Blanka crossed with Doomsday character looks like lots of ferocious fun.

The art is great, if I had to nitpick I'd say the colours are a bit pastel-y and his costume doesn't exactly 'pop' as a result.

Yeah the color palette is knda washed out, you're right.

One thing i like is a teen hero at DC who's -not- a sidekick or a Teen Titan. That's pretty unique.

Wealth & Fame he ignores, breaking scourge, is his reward. Look out!

^^^Fully read issues 1 & 2.
I like this, for much the same reasons you listed.

The ending of the first issue made me smile, both in the scope of the problem (the art really gor across this is a big deal), and this kid's totally natural reaction of 'wait. What?'.
Issue 2 moved fast, and had some nice character moments all through it.
The costume evokes Spidey of course, and the ending this time out, with the costume mishap, is something i could see happening to a young Peter Parker.

Just read the new DC solicits over at CBR and I have to say there are a lot of interesting books on the radar.

I also really HATE to admit it but they've even got me interested in Bendis' Man of Steel - that new (?) villain looks like a crazy mofo - I love it.

New Justice League sounds really good too...a mystery and new villains.

Only problem is both are double shipping at $3.99 the bastards. I'm giving them both six issues to deliver (and they better at the higher price or its cancellation time).

I also still really like the look of these new titles as well, especially if they hold the line at $2.99.

I'm definitely going to keep getting Silencer and Sideways. I'll be checking out The Unexpected and the Immortal Men for sure. Might get Brimstone issue #1 (not convinced by that one). Also wish I'd gotten Damage #1 - I mean Marvel haven't done a good Hulk comic since Pak's run ended.

I like what they are cooking at DC, as long as they stay off the politics I could see myself getting 10 titles a month and I don't think I've done that for 10 years.  :o
