Trump/Black Panther false equivalencies have been divested. This is for people who have actually seen the movie. Off topic stuff will probably just be deleted.

Just got back -

Good:
Well done movie, with every part well written. I loved the reinforcement twist, that stole the show at the end. I also loved how the heroes had to humble themselves to get there. M'Baku was MVP. I liked Freeman's character too, he definitely had a familiar Freeman esque charm, but it fit as a stereotype out of place. Chadwick Boseman owns this role like Evans does Cap. He could perhaps lighten up a little on over delivering his lines, but that's nitpicking. The action was solid, some of the CGI made things appear weightless, but that's nothing new. Klaw. That seen where Killmonger got to see his father again - wow.

Bad:
Klaw's death
The brief ham-fisted political exposition on anti-statism.
Killmonger delivery - Here me out, I liked the motivation of the character and I thought he was sympathetic enough. But he often came off as whiney more often than not. And he seemed unnecessarily douche-y, polarized between the boogeyman and your annoying younger brother. As if the character's maturity didn't match his motivation. Thus making it hard to buy that tradition would've carried his authority.

Overall: Solidly Captain America: The Winter Soldier level.

Amazing film 10/10 from me.  Box office is going crazy could get over $200 million opening weekend which is one of the biggest surprises ever for film opening for me.  Also in line to do over $220 million for the 4 day and ever film that made that match over  4 days went on to do over $600 million domestic.

This makes me curious how this will do overseas.  Movies with large black cast are said to not do well else where.  As for the movie loved it no weak character in it (well Forest Whitakers son was the greatest).  M'Baka, Shuri, the Dora especially the general (can't recall Dania characters name) just loved them.  I really liked Killmonger and Klaw as well wish they hadn't died.

It's done well in South Korea form what I've gathered.  I had trouble getting seats for my wife and I even though we saw a 12:10 show on a Wednesday (to be fair, it was Valentine's Day and the beginning of Lunar New Year).  Marvel movies do pretty well in Korea even if they have black folk.

They made the Man-Ape character not stupid. That seemed impossible, but they actually made
him not a shitty character.

That ALONE is worthy of praise.

I'm seeing around $220+ million so far. It's so close to Justice League's total domestic already.

Did anybody else notice that during Panthers dream sequence when he meets up with his father/other panther how lopsided his face was?

Did he suffer a stroke? I can’t remember him looking like that in civil war

This is where Affleck makes his exit.
