Just started watching it. So far it's pretty good. Kind of has an Alien Nation vibe.

Doesn’t it have the same plot as Alien Nation, except it’s orcs instead of aliens and magic instead of sci-fi?

I'm halfway through and it's not the awful movie people are saying. The acting is good. The action is decent, even if it's generic.

It's biggest problem is the lack of world-building. This is a brand new setting, and they do very, very little to flesh it out, instead going for a pretty standard crime story with relatively generic shootouts. Compare it to something like Dredd, which was based around a very simple story, but which oozed character and world-building with every second, and where each action scene was memorable.

I'd rather have a Shadowrun TV show.

Could barely find a review without some sort of socio-political critique.

Critics are like that these days.

I'm more in favor of simply discrediting them because they like to make their audience feel bad about enjoying movies.

I’m almost done and so far I like it. Could have done better with the world building. Not groundbreaking but kept me entertained

Also it’s already getting a sequel...

I really liked it. Kind of generic and could've used more world-building but a solid watch.

Yeah like most have said they don't do any world building so it hard to understand what there talking about.  Would have been better as a TV series.

I like the idea that magic is very unpredictable and chaotic, and dangerous even for magic users. The effects they used for the want when it was onscreen were cool, and went along with this theme. The magic scenes were suitably creepy, with the glowing corpses and Elven assassin that was transformed and made part of the wall.

I really think this movie could have benefited from being less of an action movie, and more of a crime noir movie. Something hardboiled and jaded.
