Superman is the main problem. Trying to base the entire movie universe around a boring 1 dimensional character won’t work.

It works in print due to his fans only caring about OMG feats and not the story.

Thanks for demonstrating the perspective similar to those who supported Snyder's psychologically stunted emo edgelord vision. Feeble minds think alike.

lmao. Cry more monkey. Every movie Superman has been in is a massive failure compared to other main stream superhero because he’s boring

Well, that, and Marvel hired peoplewho  actually like their main characters, unlike Snyder.

On hindsight, it's so easy to put the entire blame on Snyder.

But on retrospect, he was an ideal choice based on his previous action based movies.
The simplicity of 300 to the complexity of Watchmen.

Love it or hate it, he handled Watchmen whereas other directors didn't want or couldn't grasp the notion of adapting it to the big screen.

The same can be said about The Hulk.

Superman and Hulk are easy characters to write if handled correctly.

They need to be written slightly alone from the main cast, given challenges to match their power sets and written in specific roles in ensemble casts. in Superman's case there is a lot of space/sci-fi that he fits into.

Look at how Thor's stories work - his most interesting movie stories take him off world, problem solved.

The Man of Stell movie was a few mistakes away from being a GREAT movie. Snyder brought the action home at expense for the spirit of the movie making it very good at best. The action scnes alone showed what Superman on screen could be.

The problem with th4 DCEU so far has been a lack of a cohesive collective vision ala Feige and Kathleen Kennedy.

Say what you will but DDC has arguably far more iconic heros andf way more compelling villains. The recent shakeups are a good sign and a series of stand alone films will be a good step.

The last part of your post just shows the pathetic bias for DC, you couldn’t even make a honest post regarding anything DC related if your life depended on it.

I don’t agree with this even slightly. Superman as we all know and (some) love in a dark universe would be fine, great even. It’s just that they decided to turn the whole universe and all the characters dark and it turned into a dark neverending mess from which there is no escape. Superman was arguably the best part of Justice League, though the movie didn’t deserve to have him, as the setup to get him there was absolute garbage. They just need to rein themselves in, put someone in charge who cares about the characters and more about making good movies than “new” movies, and Wb needs to stay far away.
