No. Wiping out indigenous people on a stupid quest for gold would be. The killing of brown folks will always get glossed over in American "history", though. People have been skipping over that nugget for over 500 years. The fact that he still gets credit for "discovering" America...without ever actually making it here...is the shit frosting on the dumbfuck cake that was Christopher Columbus.

Except he's not worshipped for what he actually did but the fictionalized account of what he did that got muddled into actual history.
