Damn this was good. I'm sad I'm out of episodes already.

I'm hesitant. I've fallen in love with so many iterations of The Tick in my life. I worry this will either be good, and therefore not last more than 2 seasons, or it will be middling, and therefore just make me miss the cartoon and the Warburton series.

Its really good. Its different from the other stuff though so don't expect the same humor. Basically the world is very realistic and is played straight. The only straight goofy part is The Tick. Not to say there isn't jokes outside of The Tick just more real world observational stuff. The goofiest gag outside of him is the downside of the one main antagonist's power.

But anyway having the whole world being The Tick's straight man makes the show feel very fresh.

I liked that they played the is Tick real or in Arthur's head for just an episode and a half instead of dragging it out.

It wasn't even an episode and a half. It was like 10 minutes. Up until Arthur started thinking it was possible I didn't even think they were hinting at that angle then as soon as he started to believe it was true they tossed it out.

No people were talking about that might be the case back when the pilot debuted. It was teased up till the reveal.

Sounds like it's closer to the comic.

I actually never read The Tick. My local comic shop didn't carry it so my first exposure was the original cartoon.
