Is Miz the biggest overachiever in WWE history?

Is Miz the biggest overachiever in WWE history?

I mean, the guy started out as a reality TV star, got signed on the suck Smackdown tough enough as a runner up, the locker room treated him like hell, to the point he couldn't dress with the boys.

And over time he formed a great team with John Morrison, became one of the best mic workers, won several championships, main evented a WM, and has stared in a few of the WWE's movies.

Anyone else start out so far at the bottom to get to the top?

Miz is amazing. And despite anyone's (Jab) idiot stupid fucking dipshit personal opinion if him, DDP is objectively a huge overachiever

Miz is great on the mic and a great heel.

He has personality, which often times the stars they push lack.

In WWE? Yeah, probably The Miz- he's above-average in everything but Look, but above-average don't mean you deserve runs at the top. DDP in Vince's territory was jobbed out to Undertaker's wife, and given a bush-league Motivational Speaker gimmick- a pretty half-assed career. And that's not a bad thing... that's a GOOD THING!

Though overall, DDP is probably the answer. In that most guys who sucked and got pushed eventually bottomed-out or failed quickly- your Road Warrior knock-offs or what have you. DDP managed... with HIS level of talent... to become one of WCW's top guys. And all it took was being one of the most protected wrestlers of his era, but the first guy to MAJORLY embarrass and get one over on the nWo (did he even suffer for turning on Hall & Nash), get one of the biggest "One-Hit Kill" finishers since the DDT's day, and tons of matches against great workers, so suddenly he became a "Great Match" guy.

If he wasn't Bischoff's buddy, he wouldn't have had HALF the career- I'd imagine him topping out as a TV Title-level guy. Probably getting a US Title feud or something, since he DID connect with white trash audiences, and did work his ass off in the ring.

Talent-wise, you might say the Ultimate Warrior is close... but he obviously connected with people and drew reactions, which is basically the name of the game. So he doesn't count.

Nash and Bischoff maintain that Eric originally held DDP back, until he started to notice the way the fans were going

That puts him ahead of WWE right there.

ya know....I guess I'm the yin to Jab's yang here. I'll never understood the hatred he has for DDP nor will he understand my love for the guy

It's like is the glass half empty or half full.

Neither of us can believe how DDP managed to snag Kimberly, but whereas I admire the man for it Jab goes psychotically nustso over "Fuck THAT guy!"
