Marvel detectives?

Who are the best? Most skilled?
Now,I know someone like Wolverine would be able to solve a murder using his senses.
But if we were to reduce this to skill, cunning and smartness who would be close to someone like Batman or the Question?
Dont get me wrong, people with powers are allowed if their skill as detectives are not  fully dependent from their powerset(ie both Superman or DD would still be good even while powerless).

I'm pretty sure smart guys like Reed, Stark or Strange did some detective work back in the day

Oh, and Spidey's done a lot of sleuth to find things about his foes.

You know? I totally forgot Peter?
Even with no powers or stuff he would be a decent detective.
I loved Moon knight under Ellis.

Jessica Jones seems like a good pick. Along similar lines, Dakota North. Though don't know of much from either. Dakota did some sleuthing for DD, but I don't know if she was considered world class or anything.

I also think of the Batman types: Black Panther and The Shroud in particular however I can't specifically sight instances of their detective work of the top of my head. They both seem to have a lot on the ball in that department though.

Reed has done some very impressive deduction just by watching someone's body language etc. iirc.

Hands down the best detective in the MCU is...Ben Urich.  Not a superhero but he figured out Daredevil's identity as Matt Murdock with no powers and simple straightforward detective work.  Also he had the hard-boiled style to let the story of his lifetime slip through his fingers for the good of the city.
'cause justice is the one thing you should always find.

Why would Reed or Dr Strange be doing detective work at all?

A bit of googling gave me the names Hannibal King and Pete Wisdom. Apparently Cap and Falcon have done some as well. Then Panther. And Wolverine has scared info out of others IIRC
Then there are S.H.I.E.L.D. agent characters like Fury, Hill, Quartermain
Jamie Madrox aka Multiple Man is professional detective, so there's that
Misty Knight and Coleen Wing did some detective work in their dual comic IIRC
Cage and Danny did some in their series as well
She-Hulk has done some for her lawyer work. For that matter, Banner has done some low level sluething in some random comics as well.
Of course there is the Punisher.
Some at ifanboy suggested Kraven. Other few gave the names Sage, Bishop, Jessica Drew, Aaron Kearse, Catherine Gray, Clive Reston and even Rick Jones
Another guy at that site informed me that Sherlock Holmes ha d appeared in a couple of Marvel issues:
http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Sherlock_Holmes_(Earth-TRN388)
http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Sherlock_Holmes_(Earth-616)
Then there is this list at comicvine:

Well thats the thing, most every character's done a LITTLE sleuthing.
I basically asked this question (who is Marvel's Batman, detective wise) at KMC once, and got the same responses for their company.
The conclusion was, whoever Marvel's best was, was still WELL below Batman.

Marvel doesn't have any "pure" detective characters like DC does (i.e The Question, Detective Chimp, Batman, etc.)

Exactly.
Yet most characters do a little sleuthing to move varioys plots along.
Calling these characters detectives is a stretch.

Jamie Madrox is a detective in the modern/realistic sense. Or at least he was in Peter David's run. DC's detectives are detectives in the classic sense where they're all Sherlock Holmeses with the "The game is afoot" bullshit.

Jamie Madrox is the best answer

Then the Inhuman guy who used to be a detective in NYC

Although I could see certain incarnations of Nick Fury giving DC guys a run for their money
