Yeah that was pretty dope. TBH, it's the kind of scene that Ennis tried to write throughout the Preacher run - somehow both irreverent and respectful at the same time - but would take it too far in one direction or another (usually the irreverent one.)

The second half of this season has really split up the gang, with them each doing their own thing. I saw the problem that Dennis would become a mile away but I'm still enjoying it. I get the feeling they may end it the way Ennis did in the Cassidy one-shot, where he meets another vampire in modern New Orleans.

Finished watching the ep. just before coming online. That opening scene was really well done.
The follow up flashback was good too, and just what i was expecting.
Fucking Dennis, yeah i saw that coming.
Jesse is making so many mistakes.
Looks like some of them are going to be addressed next week.

Jesse is a lot more complicated than in the comics. In the comics he was the Good Guy. His biggest sins were being over-protective of Tulip (and even then, Ennis winked at the reader to let them know that Jesse was correct in doing so.) In the show, he does things that are quite shady and selfish.

He really does seem incredibly self centered.
I mean i get it, looking for God? Pretty important.
But not noticing your gf and friend's problems when theyre literally right in your face is plain wrong.

He's becoming obsessive.

The side characters are pretty funny. Like the Dork Docs, who thought they were helping Jesse when they told him the gun was untraceable.

Herr Starr is great. I like him a lot more than the comic book version, which goes along with my general impression of the TV show. Him asking Jesse if he had any piercings... really funny.

B.R.A.D. was a funny twist and the creepy scene leading up to "his" reveal, with that random-ass drunk, was really fun.

^^^You nailed it on those moments. Some of my favorites!
I also realized this last ep. we saw the first time a woman yelled 'Jesus' during sex.

He's becoming obsessive.
In a major way, yeah.

Checked out the last 2 eps to see how they were doing the Grail.  Liked the portrayals of Starr and Featherstone more than the comic versions actually which was a surprise since I dislike most of how they've done things.  May actually watch the rest of the season.

Speaking of Herr Starr (and favorite moments), his calmy, pragmatically, passing all the tests to join The Grail ranks right up there.
Cant believe i forgot that till now.

Fun ep. this week.
Jesse got told the fuck OFF. He had it coming.
Hitler flipping the switch on himself was probably the best thing i've seen all year.

^^^yeah, better than being in the ring!

That was an interesting season finale.
As i've never read the book the twists were fresh to me.
Good balance of drama and humor.
Where we go from here i've no idea.

Hitler should've stolen that crutch.
