No, what you're suggesting is a binary answer were the answer is more nuanced.
No what YOU'RE doing is what fanboys do, complicating shit to get the result you desperately crave.
Hulk is/should be stronger, Superman is/should be faster, with more powers.

Its not rocket science, and throwing around words like binary/potential/dynamic/de-escalation etc. while pretending to give a shit about anything other than the fact that Supes HAS to be best in every category doesn't change that.

I'm done here, so rant away.
I gave fair and honest answer that gives both characters their respect.

Marvel comics disagrees on panel. Superman is stronger than most standard portrayals of Hulk; and since they both have dynamic power( to varying degrees), acknowledging the function of their strength factors should always be relevant. You can keep whining though.

Honestly; I kind of agree.

Sure Hulk's had his portrayals where he can just get angrier and stronger with little motivation but he's had portrayals where he needed serious motivation just to break your "class 100" stats and big time stories where he needed something like a friend dying or at least an innocent getting hurt to really get a spike in strength.

Heck; been stories where he needed the villain/rival to at least make some comment about strength or something before getting any real juice going.

Really? I feel Hulks base has been class 100 for years now.

I'm not saying he doesn't start out in class 100 a lot of the time or even most of the time.

I'm saying it's not unheard of for him to have trouble getting "out" of class 100.

Okay, I understand, subtle difference.

In the same way, even if more often than not he doesn't chump the standard class 100 peers, I feel he often looks directly superior in relative STRENGTH terms.
