I hope his daughters don't have the same powers as him.  That would be a bad move should diversify.  Also found his suit to be a little to bulky.

Well one daughter "strikes like thunder" and the other "runs like lightning".

So guessing at least one of them is super fast.

The other probably is super strong or punches really hard in some way.

Yeah, this looks like a CW show. contrived melodrama.

This may be the first "CW show" that I get on board with. Thought it would be Flash but that shit already feels too convoluted to get on board with. Was almost Archie...ok thinking about it I probably won't watch this either, but I liked the trailer enough to be interested.

Is it because it paints people who go into schools and hold guns to the heads of students in a negative light?

I mean either way, riv--an answer would be perfered over your millionth attempt at psychoanalysis and defensively aggressive accusations of people wanting to come across of not caring but maybe secretly do care? You know, your schtick.

And yes, I already know what writing the above invites, but I think it would be more relevant and perhaps healthier for the welfare of this particular thread for you to be the bigger man and give me a straight answer: please, riv do tell me what you meant by preachy.

Well this is def going to be a "black" show. It's in the title. But look at Mantis, that wasn't a black show in the sense that you're describing. I'd allude to other black superhero shows, but that's the only other one I can think of (apart from Cage, which does fit your description) If, however we expand to movies though: Hancock, Book of Eli, Dark Tower, etc there are plenty which don't focus on race. So I don't think Theres this precident that every black lead action story is about them being black, this one just happens to be. In fact when it comes to these sci-if action pieces, other than Luke Cage, the majority don't focus that much on being a black show. This one however looks like it's maybe trying to find its footing in that space but I took away more the message about family and the parellels with something like the Incredibles. IDK

In fact I'd say Cage was considered unique in how much it focused on race. If that hadn't already come out we'd be kind of seeing something new maybe? So there are now two and it seems more like A Bugs Life/Antz situation rather than a trend.
