Two random bits of trivia I just learned:

1) There's an IT stage play.

2) Larry Davis once played IT.

I thought it was scarier than the original, although Bill Skarsgard wasn't quite on the level of Tim Curry.  It might be because of screentime.  Curry just had more to do.  Not that Skarsgard was bad or anything, mind you.

I had a complete row of kids next to me. They lasted until right before the the cop and his son scene.

Parents came up behind and said "time to go." They seemed to not know what they were getting into. I would have thought that from the opening myself plus the language.

haha, thats kinda funny.
When my kids were young, i'd take them to R rated movies (after telling them what to expect and if they still wanted to go), with the understanding they were in for the whole thing.
No way was i wasting money like that.

If they got as far as the scene with the cop and his son, then they were watching the last act.  They might as well stick it out.  And really, It is a famous story.  How do people not know what they were getting into?

In my showing, the women behind us were crying.  After the garage scene, everyone in the theater kinda of let out a sigh of relief that it was over.

I watched it in a packed theater, which i usually avoid, but someone invited/paid my way so why not.
One of the most respectful crowds i've ever been in; everyone was completely engrossed in the movie.
Was a fun experience!

Did any notice the librarian in the background when Ben was reading the book? She's out of focus but is really being creepy.
