Starting off strong. I am glad they didn't hold back on the Bilquis scene.

Yeah, that surprised me. The whole time I was thinking, "They're not going to do it right? She's just going to kill him or something, maybe eat him." Then he starts going into how good it feels, and then the worship and shit, and then vvvwipp. In he goes.

Really well done. So hyped for next episode. I also agreed that the Bilquis scene was damn impressive. Wasn't sure how they would pull it off but they did and spectacularly.

Interested to see how Stormare handles Czernobog. Well, I'm sure he'll be as hammy as ever, but I think that will work pretty well here. In fact, a lot of the actors they got for the gods, old and new, seem like solid choices. Crispin Glover as Mr World and Gillian Anderson as Media - hell yes.

The Tech Boy scene was appropriately odd, but I wonder how it played with people who've never read the book. Too off the wall?

I never read the book, but I understand what we're dealing with for the story. I think it will confuse people until we are shown why anybody gives a shit about Shadowmoon or Wednesday.

its been at least 15 years since I read the book. IIRC he just grabs him from a limo not some crazy VR orb thing. I enjoyed it though. I enjoyed the updated look/persona of Tech Boy too.

Yeah, in the book he was just grabbed from a limo.

I was worried that the Tech Boy scene would be to far out there for people who hadn't read the book. My wife watched it and normally doesn't go for things to far out, and she seemed to get it.

He's different, but I didn't find him too bad.  He speaks like a white person, so I can relate to him.

Did you read the book? He's pretty much what I expected. Shadow was pretty emotionless and just kinda spent the whole book going through the motions.
