I really liked the first series. And I'm happy the new series isn't about a NEW MURDER but rather, the ramifications of what shook the town up.

yeah it would be kinda silly if someone else got murdered in that town. I still have to finish the first season.

Everybody's dead and the town was built on an Indian burial ground

Everybody's dead and the town was built on an Indian burial ground

The Indian burial ground part threw me. I didn't think they had those in England. But a brilliant twist ending.

My original prediction was that it was a fantasy town filled with characters from other BBC shows, and eventually someone would be like, hey weren't you in that show?

They scrapped that idea when they realized KK was a hack writer.

I figured we would all find out Broadchurch is actually purgatory.

I'm having issues with the previous case second plot.

Series 2 has kinda found its footing now, I think.

The previous case is now more front than the trial, though the trial is still important.

The dumb hostile drama between SUSPECT (it's not the killer) and Hardy has subsided (I mean really the bit where the PC had Alec APOLOGIZE to the dude? Ridiculous. Wouldn't even admit he had a heart condition?)

I think it's obvs that Gwen Cooper killed the kids, but hey the previous series caught me by surprise, so it might just catch me unaware again.

Also I like both barrister ladies.

I'm willing to bet the killer gets away in court, but he tops himself. Seems a very drama-y thing to do.
And Gwen Cooper totes is the killer.

I wasn't too far off with my guesstimation but I hate how this series again pulled a "DIDN'T FUCKING SEE THAT COMING, DID YA" with the culp without any proper setup. Drama wise I liked it just fine, but the mystery nut in me feels gypped.

Oh and fuck the "cliffhanger"/"teaser", it's just a dude off screen saying Hardy

that's the worst, least substantial kind of OH WHAT DOES THIS MEAN type of sequel hook ever, and too many shows employ it.
