Nice.  I just finished binge watching my DVD collection of it a few months ago.

The Times Ghostbuster DVD collection, the one birthday gift I ever go that wasn't total garbage...or nothing at all because my birthday is around Thanksgiving and everyone usually forgets. :(

That's okay, my friends and family are jerks. I slipped on my uncle's stupid new ramp...and everyone laughs at me. Even though I was down for about a minute with my neck, back, and shoulder killing me.

...Bastards.

Seriously, you know you're in for a big owie when you find yourself up in the air, can see your feet, and have enough time to think "This is going to hurt." :)

I'm going to go controversial here and say that, overall, the cartoon is better than the films.

That's not controversial. That's a fact.

Let's look at the movies.

The first one is great...but the second one is just okay and...to hell with Lewis and Janine!

And if we're counting the 2016 movie...no contest. Cartoon wins.

The cartoon had some flaws, but I can't really think of any episode that stands out that I hate. I didn't even mind the Slimer cartoons because, hey I knew it wasn't canon, and it was fun.

Also, the cartoon really fleshed out the characters because they had years and years. And hey, a good chunk of the cartoon bad guys are better than the movie villains. Hell, the Stay Puff Marshmellow man of the toon is cooler than the movie version. I just like the idea he's just a nice guy who's just chilling in the chamber.

...And I'll admit it, as a kid I hated Janine's original voice and was happy when it was changed. Also her glasses were stupid. :)

You mean Louis suddenly showing up as an accountant? And it got more silly. Yeah. But at least Louis wasn't around much during most episodes and then vanished.

I think something else that helped...ABC Saturday mornings used to really rock. You had Gummi Bears, Beetlejuice, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, so I normally watched that channel until the Turtles came on.

it dropped in quality when it was rebranded Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters and split the time with a more kiddie version of the show.

Yes, but I think he means, suddenly showing up in the cartoon as their accountant.  Before the second movie came out, I don't think he was in the cartoon at all.

Looking back on it now, I also really enjoy how they explained any differences between the movies and the cartoons; the movies exist within the cartoon as adaptations of some of the Ghostbusters' adventures, so anything the cartoon "changes" is actually the movies taking "artistic license!"

Those are great eps. A haven't watched any since I was like 12 but so many stick out in my mind. The Werewolf vs Vampire one, the Peoplebusters, the one with the Trolls.
