......About the Unemployment Rate being 40%?

http://fortune.com/2015/09/14/donald-trump-unemployment-rate-jobs/

One mildly amusing statement if your as geeky as me is when they mention "Jobs haven't risen back up to Pre-Crisis levels...."

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the average person realized they don't consider the retired and those not looking for jobs and understand why they wouldn't. But hey fuck it why not toss in anyone below the age of 18 so its 100% "accurate".

The road to 100% employment goes through instituting obligatory child labor and exterminating the elderly and disabled. That'll make America great. Again.

I can see not including the retired but not those who just "gave up" looking for work.

They still count.

I'm not talking about people who gave up looking for jobs. I'm talking about people who don't work because they don't have to including stay at home parents, college students who don't work, freelancers, etc, etc, etc. Also, people don't just "give up" looking for work. You'd become homeless which becomes part of the numbers or you get some type of assistance which becomes part of the numbers. The percentage of people who stop looking but are supported through other means is a very small percentage.
