I'm not talking about people who gave up looking for jobs. I'm talking about people who don't work because they don't have to including stay at home parents, college students who don't work, freelancers, etc, etc, etc. Also, people don't just "give up" looking for work. You'd become homeless which becomes part of the numbers or you get some type of assistance which becomes part of the numbers. The percentage of people who stop looking but are supported through other means is a very small percentage.
