And to clarify how this show has gone so far:

Ep 1: Quick flashes of David's life leading to him being stuck in a mental institution after a failed suicide attempt. Things jump around as we see things from his perspective (mostly), and it is hard to tell when he is seeing things or when he is actually in the present with real people. Ends on a cool action scene.

Ep 2: OK, now we have some mutants who will help figure David out. Questions raised on how much his "insanity" is actually just his telepathy and TK (and other shit). Big hints that David has some evil in his mind. But at least the story is moving more linearly.

Ep 3: Still moving pretty linear. Some memory jumps. Then shit gets very dark in David's head when the mutant group tries to get to the bottom of what triggers his powers. This is where I really started thinking SK is in David's head.

Ep 4: Off the deep end weirdness. Guy in the astral plane in a fucking block of ice. The dog is a fucking lie! No telling how much of David's memories are falsified. My SK suspicions grow stronger. The mutant time spends time away from David doing other shit that keeps the linear story flow in tact.

I don't know why Mojo seemed to be the popular theory on the intertubes when it seems like they are telegraphing Shadow King. Fucking comic noobs everywhere.

Literally the only justification for Mojo that I saw was "Fat guy. Yellow eyes."

Yep. But now we see that this "demon" has been the dog, Lenny, the yellow eyed fat guy, and probably the angry kid cartoon too. Not really a Mojo thing. Nor am I aware of Mojo doing telepathic bullshits on this level.

Very much Shadow King. I ever recall one seen where the blobby version had a shadow aura around him (late episode 2 memory thing). And of course, devil dog is named King. If it isn't SK, then they are throwing a lot of misdirection our way.

I don't think they can keep up this confusing, non-linear narrative forever. It would be nice if after a while, things made sense a bit more easily.

Unsure. He has memories of his dad being an astronomer, but he can't remember what his dad's face looks like. When they literally walk around his memories, the dad's face is completely hidden in shadows (OMG). The dad also reads his son a horrible story that everyone recognizes as being fucked up. But that may just be a false memory created by the SK.

So 50/50 chance that his dad is important and hidden.

Rewatching ep one. Was SK possessing Lenny or manifesting as Lenny? When David asks Syd to be his girlfriend, Lenny's reaction is very telling. And later when Syd has David's body and starts seeing shit, the SK pops up in the room. So Syd reflexively uses David's power. For herself and everyone, she teleports them to their rooms and removes the doors. Protection. But when reflexively using the power as SK shows up, she only hurts one person. Lenny.

It's definitely the Shadow King, it's seemed obvious from the start. He's even reminiscent of the fat body traditionally associated with him.

Shadow King 100% confirmed in the show, and Professor X confirmed as David's dad.

Looks like some serious action for the finale. Big fight with Division 3 moments away.

Super serious great show. Things were a bit confusing in ep 1, but the mystery quickly unraveled due to the short season. Next week is the finale.
