IDWs First Strike
« on: April 23, 2017, 04:55:53 AM »

Quote
Following 2016’s “Revolution” event — which saw IDW’s licensed Hasbro properties united in one shared universe — “First Strike” picks up with Earth about to join the Cybertronian Council of Worlds. That peaceful event is interrupted by Cobra, as Baron Ironblood — historically the British counterpart to Cobra Commander — has targeted all Cybertronians for termination, putting the Transformers in serious jeopardy. The G.I. Joes, led by Scarlett, and the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, stand in the way in the face of extinction — enlisting help along the way from, apparently, an unlikely ally in the form of Soundwave of the Decepticons.

This sounds really fun.

IDW has historically done an incredibly good job with their licensed properties. No reason this shouldn't be fucking fantastic

They just had a cross over with man of action, Rom, mask, micronauts, and transformers.  Pretty good arc.  Which, has also lead into the Revolutinaries series.

How good is IDW Transformers? Thundercracker is awesome. I never thought I would say that.  Or that a Face Megatron could actually work.

All the comics I read now are IDW: TMNT, Lost Light/More than Meets the Eye, and Back to the Future.

The only thing that IDW needs to do is get rid of the artist on GI JOE.

Overall they have fun art(istic) 'house style'. Very eye catching, not generic.

Yea, clean work.  I lmao when I saw Rom judo flip Optimus Prime.

Only way IDW saves this abomination is if Megatron is playing a long con on all of these faggots and rides Trypticon into a glorious but doomed final battle while Shockwave shoots him as a gun a little bit because Shockwave dual wielding would be the best.

Soundwave has always been an overrated fuckdweeb and you all know it.

Then The Goddamned Greatest Hero Fiction Has Ever Known uses the energon Axe of Justice and the Rifle of The American Way to win the day as always.

Truck or Monkey, Gun or T-Rex classics or STFU & GTFO.
