Tried the first two issues, but I couldn't.
The art literally gave me headaches.
So I dropped the book, even though I love Dr.Strange :/

Why that fucking Bachalo!
He's a mix between Romita jrjr and Ramos!

I read the first arc, which really was just the first half on an arc as near as I can tell (it bled right into a new one with no resolution). Liked it well enough...if was doing some different stuff, was reasonably fun...I just stopped buying monthly after that and need to pick up the next trade at some point. I didn't love it, but I liked it enough.

Bachalo is horrid

Strange should be either by Jae Lee, whoever drew Hickmans run and a couple others I can't think of. Scott Hampton, Peter Gross etc

Also what is this from?

Hmm, I won't bother picking up the trades then I guess. Shame, I wanted to get some Strange stories to get in the mood for the movie.

Anyone recommend a good run to pick up? One collected in easily available trade preferably, obviously I could download anything but as a reading experience I greatly prefer trades. A cursory glance at Amazon suggests it's mostly the really old stuff that's readily available which doesn't really do it for me. The late 1990s Marvel Knights run is about to be republished, anyone ever read that? I feel like the darker tone might suit...

I didn't like Strange as a kid, so I have to read most of his classic stuff. I've thought about getting, say, the Strange vs. Dracula trade or something else from the classic era. I think there are at least 3 solid trades of that material.

Poor Strange, thank you.

Never got full confirmation but his situation may have been caused by Tanaraq

On topic: I was liking Aaron's run and actually thought the art fit the tone of the story. It started to spin it's wheels and thought it was blah

I also was enjoying Aaron's run but am a few issues behind. I felt like it was a good threat and I liked the take that Streange was subject to the rule of magic where there's an opposite or balancing effect so that casting a spell is not something to be done lightly. Plus all the magic characters coming together was a nice touch
