Ford either genuinely feels the androids are complex tools for fulfilling his dreams... or he is playing a skilled rouse. But the way he casually carved into a host's face suggests the former.

Good ep. The Bernard-Delores dynamic is a must-watch.

Delores starting to go haywire was pretty tense, I was waiting to see what her circumstances were once she settled down.

The William/Man in Black theory appears to be shot down based on the end. Oh well.

Somethings up with Odin

No doubt. He obviously has a very grand plan for the park despite wanting the androids to be nothing more than complex tools.

Im going with the idea he want to be put in a robot body to be immortal. And dont much care about Robo feelings if he accomplishes it. He may even think they have feelings but dont give a shit.

That's a possibility. He mentions that humans may be on their way to medically defeating death in the near future, but he lamented such an event meaning that humans are done. That they will have reached the end of accomplishment or their potential (something like that).

Perhaps he sees transition into a Host as a next step in evolution? Or he just might like playing God. He's like a Sims addict, but his version of the game is beyond anything before it in depth and complexity.

Another great episode. Maeve seemlessly has switched over from gimmicky android hooker to full-fledged person. It's so weird how this show plays with our concept of what is real/genuine vs. what is fake/manufactured... which is a bit meta on a damn TV show dealing with its characters and narratives.

It seems like Ford and Arnold were both a bit nutty with a God-complex. Ford may have a more sinister or selfish goal, but it looks like Arnold programmed in some secret shit before he died. Maybe Ford knows about some of it? Bernard certainly knows about the maze. And so does the Man in Black. MiB seems to feel that finishing the maze will finish the "story" of Westworld and even free the androids.

Next week's preview shows that MiB and Ford know each other and aren't friendly.

Evan Rachel Wood is so fucking beautiful it's ridiculous.

Apparently it costs an average of $40,000 per day to be in the park with price-breaks for the more days you buy. You have to buy at least a week. Talk about inflation: It was $1,000 per day in the film. That explains why so many people go psychotic in there. Some of them may not REALLY be able to afford 40k a day more than once in their life.

Heh, yeah.

Can't wait for the MiB/Ford meeting next episode. Ford is getting pretty creepy, and at the same time it'll be interesting to see the MiB with someone he's not more powerful than. I liked the bit about him being some kind of charitable foundation owner in the real world (and of course his reaction to it).
