Realistic Fitness Goals

For the average guy who has a 9 to 5 job, +/- family, who isn't dedicating himself to three hours of exercise a day, what do you think makes a good list of overall, generalized fitness goals? I.e. no specializaiton; it's great if you can squat and deadlift 600 pounds but if you can't run a mile at a time it's no good. It's great that you can run a mile in 5 minutes but if you can't bench press a weight bar it's no good.

Able to touch your toes and sit comfortably in a squat?
Run three miles at a time (30 min or less)
Squat 1.5 your body weight?
Swim half a mile at a time?
Run a quarter mile in... 80 seconds?

What's the time limit for daily exercise here?

2 hours a day?  2 and 1/2 hours a day?

I mean hell; control your diet, do thirty minutes of heavy kettlebell swings on Monday, repeat on Friday will get you some level of buff and muscle tone.  And that's just an hour a week.

Presuming you don't have an ultra-slow metabolism or thyroid problem.

Actually; that's a legitimate question....aside from it being MTL's mom, though who knows maybe she's actually hot.

Chicks like that kind of stuff, picking them up, holding them in the air one armed while making a muscle.

Could get some serious play that way.
