I'd like to find the bare minimum level that would allow a super powered comic book character to become bullet resistant with little to no damage to their being.

I feel like a cl 10 character should be bullet proof to .22's, cl 20 to .45's maybe cl 30 immune to conventional fire.

Think Class 50/60 seems the min ballpark to me for bulletproof.

Course some characters like Brit could be weaker and still bulletproof and others like Wonder Woman, stronger and not bullet proof.

Spider-Man shouldn't (and isn't) bulletproof, and he's ranked anywhere up to class 20, so at least above that.

Class 50 sounds reasonable. Can't think of a Classic 30 off the top of my head.

Average Asgardians are in that ball park, right?

Enchantress should be around class 30

Spider-Man is cl 10-15 aside from his temp power up right?

I'm not sure I'd have issues with a low caliber rifle, like a .22 only leaving painful  welts. Most handguns are stronger than that.

Maybe I under estimated but I feel like 50 is too high. Well, I guess it all depends on what we mean by bulletproof. To all conventional fire-as in literally interpretation of bullet proof, .50 and such? I amend to cl 50.

Class 25 'skin' should be bullet-proof to general hand guns (though not invulnerable in weak locations like the eyes) but not higher calibre weapons (though I would say heavy sniper rifle rounds* rounds would break the skin but be halted by muscle and especially bone).

*ie. .50 cal.

Class 50 'skin' would be impervious to heavy sniper rifle rounds (though again the eyes would be vulnerable).

I'm still researching if Class 100 eyeballs should be immune to heavy sniper rifle rounds.

Great article in last month's Nature you should check out on the durability of the cornea in fictional class 100 characters

Even guys as "weak" as class 10 should be immune to at least low caliber shots.

But seriously don't click that link if you're grossed out by the thought of eye surgery

As a Class 3, Luke Cage caught a 357. round. He said it nearly snatched his arm out the socket though. But the problem is piercing/blunt force durability.

Wonder Woman for example as strong as she is, isn't bulletproof so she needs to block with her bracers. Cage on the other hand, who is far weaker, has metal-like skin/organs so he's automatically bulletproof.

LOL! Will do.  ;D

So far:

Hyperion unaffected by a handgun bullet to the eye
Superman (movie version) unaffected by the same
WWHulk was affected by Desert Eagle Adamantium round.

Almost...as I determine things.

The stronger a character is (genetically - rather than simply packing on more muscle) the tougher their skin generally will be.

Human male < Cap < Blade* < Spidey (classic) < Spidey (revised) < Typical Asgardian

If the Typical Asgardian is immune then: my estimates are:

Spidey (revised 10 tons) = 33% affected
Spidey (classic 3 tons) = 50% affected
Blade* (1 ton) = 66% affected
Cap (800lbs) = 75% affected

*Since off the top of my head I couldn't think of a 1 tonner and Blade is probably a bad example since vampires regenerate.

I dont think there IS a set standard. It really depends on the character's power set. Spidey being bullet proof wouldnt make sense given his agility spidey sense mojo as an example.

I know, I would just like to find the physically the weakest character that would be bullet resistant to conventional firearms. This link was pretty insightful, I'm just trying to see if I can apply that to comic book characters.
