Bodyweight exercises you could do everyday.
« on: August 07, 2016, 07:25:45 PM »

So,for many reasons I feel like shit this period.
Drinking too much, too much stress from both work and life.
I see training as a relief but Im scared of overdoing.
Could be something(basic) as push up and weight free squat be done everyday?
My main goal is to feel better,so I'd like to train almost everyday.

Cutting down on the drinking, eating a bit healthier, and getting enough quality sleep will probably do a hell of a lot more to make you feel better than any specific exercise program. It's no secret that all three are related - booze will interfere with sleep and make you more likely to eat like crap, going to bed earlier means you're less likely to go out late drinking or eat late-night crap, and so on.

I "try" to do yoga every day. Work usually cuts that to five days a week. Yoga is nice because you can make it as easy or as hard as you like. It can definitely be done every day though you won't be going at maximum intensity every day. Yoga in itself is a very broad term though.

Air squats and shoulder presses without weight can be pretty exhausting, actually.

Squats are hellish torture but they'll make your booty pop, so they're worth it

If you're serious about bodyweight exercise

a handful of exercises done and cycled thtroughout the week will help

pushups
recline rows
dips
handstand pushups
selected ab exercises
air squats/chair bulgariian squats (lunges)

with everything MTL said - will do it

Handstand pushups? WTF? Those are so easy to mess up, I can't believe you're recommending them asking for basic advice.

Yeah, I do push-ups, selected ab-exercises, and what I think are dips (that's with a chair?) most days. For mental health try running/jogging. I try to do 2 or 3 miles most days, anywhere from 5 to 7 days a week. If you're running every day I wouldn't go past that. Some organization recommends 14 miles a week (CDC maybe?)

Eating well and sleep are good too. When drinking limit yourself. Don't always tie one on.

I mean I'm not one to really give advice on any of this stuff. But like you, Animila, I'm not a fitness expert. Just a guy trying to be a bit healthier and take better care of myself. This is just what I do.

feet against the wall head on a pillow style?

Even a half rep working up is pretty safe if consistent IMHO. ne pas?

Ty guys for all advises, dont get me wrong, while I'm an ass unable to be steady on training I did discontinued weight lifting training in the past.
I did lot of deadlift and benchpress.
I'd like to go full on bodyweight training because my main goal is to feel better,I need to find a way to increase my focus.
I'm somewhat scared of overtraining.
That said have to say ty to MTL,never loved yoga, even with my ex gf who loved it but it may give me the relief I'm looking for.

Like MTL said, yoga is a broad term. It's pretty easy to find a style that fits your goals.

For athletic development baths yoga is quite good.

If you spend a little time doing soft tissue work, eating and sleeping right overtraining won't likely be an issue.
