Looks really good, and different from the routine origin stories the last few comic book movies have been.

I hope Klaw gets some superpowers so he is a bit more like his comic book version, and is a bit more of a threat.

Well wasn't Captain America:  Civil War essentially his "origin" story?

Looks like it might be pretty good.

Movie was good until the ending!Ares was LAME!He did nothing that was threatening outside of the lightning strikes, which got him killed anyway!

So that's a vote for Keven-Smith ares as a the better one?

General Chat / Re: Kathy Griffin's ISIS pose
« on: June 11, 2017, 05:55:45 PM »
Agreed. The fact that one of the recent London terrorists, Khuram Butt, was on a TV show called "The Jihadis Next Door", basically announcing his plans, and wasn't detained, stripped of citizenship and deported boggles my mind. The fact that there are thousands like him on the UK terror watchlist is also amazing. Ditto the fact that jihadis leave the country to fight for ISIS and then return unmolested, and the powers that be say there's "nothing that can be done."

Yet the UK police will take someone from their home for an offensive Facebook post. Astounding.

Well; the obvious is.....there is something that can be done, especially going by what they will do for Facebook posts.

So the real question is; why don't they?

Creating some level of social distrust and conflict within itself on the lower levels of society benefits the powers that be.

Didn't know it wasn't; that being said it doesn't "seem" like the governments done a bad job of it though.

Can't recall all that many accidents or crashes.

So wait; out of the Expendables movies is there a single good feat to be used?

Divided into three categories:

A) Two members of a hero's rogues gallery join forces with the sole goal of killing the hero.

B) Two villains from the same continuity join forces for conquest.

C) Same as B, but from two different continuities.

Assume no back-stabbing or betrayal, but total mutual cooperation. Who would you pick in each category?

Depends on the hero.

I don't know aside from being kind of "rapey" YIVO wasn't that bad all things considered.

Also didn't it manage to shrug off a "universe"-destroying missile sent at them by D.O.O.P?

Honestly I was wondering if once they figured out what was going on with them if Trek-level scanners couldn't just track them in their own dimensions or whatever?

That and isn't Trek just kind of a tier higher?

These guys are actually kind of like that race from Voyager that appeared for one episode.

Well; they are also like Species #12334455677 whatever as well I suppose on some level.

ICT / Re: The Daleks vs The Dominion
« on: June 11, 2017, 04:45:47 PM »
If this is the Daleks at their peak they should crush The Dominion.

They can teleport entire planets around from galaxies away.
Built a machine that was going to destroy the multiverse.
Created human sized androids with bombs that could destroy the earth inside the .
Engaged in a war with the time lords that was ripping apart the fabric of space and time.

Even if the Daleks were barred from using their massively more advanced time travel tech to win they could simply keep themselves in another galaxy far away from the Dominions ability to counterattack and launch attacks on the gamma quadrant at their leisure.

At which point it becomes less war and more pest control.

That is using the peak version of the Daleks though.

Yeah even with their advanced tech.; nowadays they are generally the last gasps of a race on the edge of extinction aren't they?

Dominion "might" be able to pull out a win via numbers.

I'm not getting into this with you idiots again. Her "trying to save his life" with Dick involved surprising him and then beating his ass. Its safe to assume that her tactics were the same against Jason except that he somehow evolved a new power to read move-readers moves and put her at an obvious disadvantage where she was at his mercy and would have been killed if not for Dick. The "weapons" he was using in the actual fight was a pistol at the end of the fight to keep her occupied while he took a phone call. Jason has been established as incorporating gun-fu seamlessly into the Bat family fighting style. Did she look shot up to you? No? Right, because he wasn't "using weapons" any more than she was. And "armor"? Seriously? Besides the helmet he's not any more well armored than Batman or anybody else. Talking Jason "surprised" her when her whole established modus operandi up to this point was to get in a surprise attack and proceed to kick the shit out of the person.

What is shown:
1. Cassie getting the drop on Dick and beating his ass.
2. Jason in an advantageous position after a prolonged fight (evidenced by the state of the bar they were in)

What is implied:
1. Cassie tried to sneak attack Jason the same way she did Dick
2. It did or didn't work
3. They fought
4. Jason had the advantage at least at the end. Taking into account the state of their clothes, if Cassie landed anything, it wasn't much

Fin

We know he was using at least a pistol by the end of it and didn't he also have big ol blades on his guantlet?

Nightwing didn't want to really hurt her and Jason wanted to straight out kill her.  Pretty different levels of motivation there.

So one side trying to kill the other while using weapons and the others main ability gets surprisingly negated and manages to just end up failing to kill her or keep her down?

Your bigger; got armor, weapons, going for the kill and got the advantage of surprise going while they are holding back and "still" can't get it done?

Not that great a day.

Men bought feminism con. Its one big shittest so to speak despite the legit grivences. And they caved. Whelp. You lose. And to think it all started with allowing the female vote so as to counter black male voters as was the stated purpose of the founders of feminism. Whelp!

Yeah the ol' shit test.

There's some thought that this is essentially what could be called a socially wide scale version of the old game some women like to play "lets you and he fight" over her.

Wait so humans evolved in Asia and Europe before Africa?

Does that mean African's stole not only Aboriginal culture but also european and asian?

Sweden-- and Europe-- are virtually done. Thanks feminism.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm not. It seems that women more than men, in Sweden and other Western European countries, are the ones pushing for more and more migrants/refugees, despite the well-documented problems associated with them. These women have achieved peak nihilism.

Women always want a strong man.

Men have become so weak and pathetic; they've basically proven the various Islamic extremists and refugee's right about them being unable to even guard their own borders and maintain their country.

Women despise weakness and will go with a stronger man every time.

Or in this case they will import them.
