Music, Movies, Tv and Books / Re: DCEU reboot or no Reboot

Soft reboot.  Keep current Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn.  If the new Batman and Shazam movies are successful, then after Aquaman 2 in a few years do another Justice League with the new guys included.  Pretend the Snyder stuff didn't happen, gloss over inconsistencies because people don't care.

How are people defining "pure athlete"?  I know Riv says however you personally define it, so no issues there, but I'm curious what some of these criteria are.  Most "legitimate" sports experience outside of wrestling?  Best real fighter?  Most technical?  Some kind of agility to strength ratio?

It's Duggan, though.  Not expecting much.

Thought this was Blockbuster the Marauder and wondered why you hated Daredevil.

Issue in the age of no shame you can't really force the. To. They might just try ride it out

Rather it will work who knoww

Just clarifying, you'd like all three to step down, regardless of the consequences?  I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just curious to see what the (mostly liberal I think) posters here regard as the right thing to do when the fourth in line is a republican who would presumably govern in a manner opposite to their values.

Was Goku supposed to be the modern times legendary super saiyan originally, and they retconned it?

What do you guys think the right resolution to this is?  I've seen calls for all three to step down, calls for 2 out of 3, etc.

any upgrades invalidate all low showings but keep high ones.

This demonstrates a profound lack of understanding regarding how comics work.  You've been around long enough, you should have outgrown this phase already.

I feel like she's not supposed to be strong enough to do this, by which I mean that the writers might have her do feats that are indirectly comparable but would shy away from writing a straight strength scene of this degree.

Galactus couldn't put Ultron down without some kind of self-sacrifice move?

Odin pulled Cosmic Ghost Rider out of the timestream and into 616.  Odin removed CGR's powers in an attempt to give Castle peace.  When it became clear that Frank wasn't happy, Odin gives him the CGR power back and offers to send Frank anywhere in time he'd like to go.

I don't think Cates handles power well at all, personally, he just uses powerful characters/items in his stories.  They don't come off particularly well written nor do they fit past portrayals in most cases.

Cool, glad they at least address it because it just seemed like such a foolish moment for the usually competent Frank.

What was with Frank walking out in the middle of an empty street with hardly any cover, with a single handgun, and calling out Billy‚Äôs entire gang who were equipped with better weapons?  I know characters have to act stupid in tv shows to move the plot, but that was pretty ridiculous.

So I decided to look into things since you are avoiding the debate.

There's an alternate reality version of Surfer who had the Quantum Bands and other items of power.  He hurt Galactus but he was obviously souped up.  The only other example are some scans of Galactus apparently being reborn as reality reset itself.  surfer fired a blast that made Galactus cry out in pain but he was fully reborn in the next page. Considering the circumstances, that seems to be extraneous circumstances.  If anyone has more details, please share.

I found an example of Quasar deflecting an eye-beam from Galactus but that is not nearly the same thing.

Red Hulk went after Galactus while riding Surfer's board and wielding Terrax's axe.  Galactus eye blasted him out of the sky moments later, iirc.  He hurt The Watcher if that's what you're thinking of.

I couldn't find anything about BRB hurting Galactus.  Nor Juggernaut (although you didn't seem sure on that one yourself).  I'm not sure what you mean by "tearing apart Doomsday" or Disciple.

Also, you do not knoczw what a strawman is.

This conversation is utterly beyond you in every respect.

You cant even comprehend my very first post in this thread.

Everything you are arguing is based on a strawman, and even this post is you talking about not comprehending what is being stated.

Your confusion is entertaining though. Amuse me some more.

 So you got nothing.  Figures.

You have to understand, he has deeply held beliefs that mean everything to him but no way to articulate them that doesn't make him look foolish.  Any good faith participant in this discussion would actually engage in it, but he has neither the skill to adequately converse nor the fortitude to weather rebuttals.

Deflection, oblique reference, and juvenile insults are all he has.  Which, as you correctly note, is nothing at all.
