We could still come across:

Mirror Master
Dr. Alchemy
The Chunk
Speed Demon
White Lightning(Yeah, she's a Bart villain. However, it's a CW show, so hot girl with sexual powers is bound to show up)

Ones I think we won't see due to cgi looking shitty:

No, he means like Pre-Crisis Superman, who couldn't catch Dr. Doom fleeing on foot.

There may have been a time when Thor might've won, but he hasn't been much of a heavy hitter in a while.
That doesn't even make sense.

G-train explained it better, but I feel that Thor's days are gone and his current level is much lower.  I'm not sure of his ability to win here.

Unless we're talking about She-Thor and I just totally missed it.

His current level IS lower because he doesn't have his hammer. Thor's had several good showings in the past few years. We had multiple threads filled with awesome, current stuff before the crash.

Yeah, DoS Superman had some great tactics.

Hands on the hips to tank a gut punch from the guy beating the shit out of everyone with his bone claw things. He was a fucking idiot, and that's obvious to anybody not sharing the title.

General Chat / Re: What's the coolest shit to do in Japan?
« on: May 17, 2015, 12:46:33 PM »
I haven't been to Japan since 1998 or so, but I remember Tokyo being awesome, with tons of cool neighborhoods. I'm a bit surprised to see people recommending keeping that part short- has it gotten shittier over time? I'm not much into seeing reconstructions of "old Japan" (since, y'know, honkies burned the fuck out of the REAL old stuff), but museums are a good bet with me.
No, Tokyo is awesome. But if you want to see more of real Japan, you have to leave Tokyo. There is plenty to do in the city for your entire trip. Having lived there for 6 months, I got to see

The lack of shop signs will probably be annoying, though I remember having a lot of fun going around shrines and museums that had tons of little shops selling nerd toys. I got a kick-ass Evangelion toy there- EVA 03 or whatever (Asuka's mech).
My favorite store in Akihabara was Kotobukiya. It has everything you're talking about and more. Across the alley from it is a secret video game store with tons of old school game stuff.

The bullet train seems to take only an hour or two to most of the bigger places around the main island- is it better to keep Tokyo as "base camp" and just travel to the other places? Or is it better to actually pack up and move around from city to city in different hotels and junk?
It depends how long you want to stay there. A couple days in Osaka or Kyoto can be a lot of fun, using Tokyo as your base camp. You can do a hostel for overnight, or take all your stuff.

I hadn't given as much thought to the other cities in Japan, though the one with all the animated signs seems fun.

Is TV still fucked-up over there? When I went as a teen, there was this game show that was just girls in bikinis tying their tops together, then pulling back until one snapped off- the point was to film all of the men on their team staring all open-mouthed at the tits.
Yes, TV IS still awesome over there.

Are the trains as complicated as I've heard? It only took me a day or so to manage the New York Subway System, but this is apparently MUCH worse, with multiple companies running in each station.
Get a Tokyo visitor pass for the Yamanote line. They're discounted or free for a certain time. Yamanote Line is a big oval that takes you around most of Tokyo and it's the busiest line in the world. Where your backpack on the front and put your back to the wall. From there you can reach:
Akihabara(Video games, anime, robots, convention center), Shibuya(Basically Tokyo's Times Square), Shinagawa(great mall and some bars), Harajuku(basically one giant alleyway of shops), Yebisu(beer museum), Ikebukuro(Pokemon Center) and you can also connect to the line that takes you to Odaiba.

I highly recommend Odaiba. It's where the Digidestined fought Miotismon. It's where the giant Gundam is, and my favorite 2 mall(s).

MoS Superman withstood planetary-level gravi-metric manipulation while weakened. Thus he's far superior to any thing Thor or Hulk have done.

You know you actually just said nothing, right?

The Death Star had some weak security considering how important it was.

General Chat / Re: How the hell is this story not viral?

Scientists genetically manipulated the molecular structure of a chicken, and removed certain structures around the beak and facial structure early on in the embryonic process and what grew in its place? DINOSAUR FEATURES.

"Chicken grows dinosaur face."

In one full swoop, they did something that's absolutely insane. They could have birthed  a real life dinosaur WITHOUT CLONING. No one has even considered this possibility, and here it is. Unfortunately the scientists killed it before it could hatch, although they insisted it would have.

HOW THE HELL IS THIS NOT VIRAL? I think literally proving evolution is incredible.

I saw that on Reddit and Facebook days ago. Probably 4 days ago when it was new.

Looking at the various choose your power thread no one has ever create one just based on SM powers.

I've created one at least twice.
I didn't know, the only one i saw was the one about choosing 2 powers

You said "ever" so I thought that's what you meant. I didn't do it on this version of the board.

Yeah, I saw that picture. Who is everybody in the picture?

If you don't know, just say so.

How would I possibly know you saw the picture prior to my posting it?
If you're not going to read my mind, then fuck off! >:(

Yes but only one of me was telekinetic ally lifting a city and mind linking the planet

Don't mean much at their power level; and linking the minds of the planet might actually give Cable "more" power to draw on, not less.

Thor wins; this fight only lasted until Surfer got tired of playing around.

How would linking the minds on Earth give him more power? Where are you getting that from? I didn't see that anywhere in the story.

Because by linking all the minds on earth he has the entire populations mental power to draw on?

What the hell are you talking about? Does Martian Manhunter suddenly get more powerful because he keeps the JLA linked?

Though was it ever hinted that took any real effort from Cable to do or holding up the city as well?
He didn't have infinite power. Using portions of your power to do something else when you fight an elite top tier isn't going to put you at full strength. It would be like a waiter(Cable) taking dinner to a family of 4(linking the minds and lifting an island) while another waiter comes in to kick his ass(Surfer) for stealing tips or something.

Unless the first waiter is Jackie Chan, that food is almost definitely going to be a hindrance.
