Overall give it a 6/10. I’ll check out season 2 though (if it gets announced)

I just thought it was a 10 part story.

I honestly can't see the same characters (obviously those alive) recurring into another plot.

I forgot.  Seems there's was a cop present and he stood outside while the shooting happened for 4 minutes to 6 minutes.
I do understand the argument that his training might've warranted him to wait for back up...but if the Armed School Resource Officer couldn't do his job to protect, it's an even scarier notion to arm the teachers.

I don't expect an Aussie to know this ;) but apparently the main thing to do for an armed responder to do in a situation like this  is to get on scene as quickly as possible. These school shooters aren't trained soldiers or terrorists, they're mentally ill basket cases, and the majority of the time they will flee as soon as they see any armed response, and/or kill themselves. I'm not pulling this out of my ass, I read it from a police statement or something after one of the other shootings recently.

You're absolutely right.
An Aussie wouldn't know these "facts".
The average Aussie would be appalled by the notion, by the need to have an Armed School Resource Officer in an environment full of children. Much less the notion of teachers carrying concealed firearms.
The average Aussie would shake their heads in disbelief at kevlar back packs for school children, much less desks that fold into protective shields to hide behind.
You have a serious gun problem but instead of fixing the issue, you endorse it.

We're honestly confused by your die hard beliefs that guns are a necessary part of every day life even when it's so blatant that it does more harm than good.
Idiots are actually arguing that purchasing a gun is the cheaper option for home security than installing bars & alarm systems...that other people's lives killed is a small price to pay than having your personal insurance premiums increase.

So in the most Arrested Development moment of this administration, Trump had to write "I hear you" on his note card to remember to show sympathy towards the Florida victims.

I wonder if it said, "Please turn over." on the back of the note cards?

Was that sympathy on his face or just a deep confusion of where his words went?

Debate / Re: Should democrats run on gun control as part of thier platform

I was looking at the stats of a good guy with a gun stopping armed criminals.  It was only 3 percent.  That's a pretty pitiful number considering the number of guns owned in our country.

That's the thing though, there's so many different statistics available that it can become doubtful what to believe.
A lot of the sources contradict each other so depending if you're pro or anti, you can easily find an article that will back your claim & refute the other.

One (American poster) on KMC finds a stat that claims there's 24 guns per 100 people here in Australia.
But I can only refute that fact based on experience of actually living in this country & never ever personally facing a situation where a firearm was involved NOR do I know anyone else who has been.
Then I come across an article that says 30 000 firearms are imported into Australia every year...mainly for law enforcement & the military so there is actual merit to "24 guns per 100 people".

I'm so tired of arguing with Americans that strict gun control laws actually do work in Australia.
It has for the past 20 years or so but I also do understand that it heavily goes against your 2nd Amendment rights.

At the end of the day, the least of my worries for my family & myself is the least amount of guns on the streets.
The last thing I have to worry about is a mass shooting at my son's school.

-snigger-

"Scent" & "Mother Box" should never be in the same sentence together.

The whole AI's having a virtual life of there own and some even having contempt for humans is interesting.

Definitely not a new concept but this show definitely reflects on a future where body/mind swapping is so feasible, it's literally taken for granted.

But that's what also annoyed me about the series...everybody kept acting surprised & in disbelief whenever they got conned by their adversary swapping bodies.

The Flashback sequences are more entertaining/interesting than the present progressive story.

The main character is just dull. Joel K just doesn't fit the type.

It's around episode 3 or 4 when Joel K's acting improves & he seems to finally grasp the character he's playing.
Plus you get some episodes towards the end with insights into his original Asian form & the love/hate bond with his sister.

Yes, we've all seen that joke for the past few months.

Just trying to share a chuckle...

Doesn't feel like it but this is the 18th movie in the Marvel series.

It doesn't help when 2 white actors in Black Panther also played Gollum & Bilbo Baggins.

Just convoluted like Highlander 2.

People aren't exactly going to get a new found appreciation of the 1st movie when they realise they were watching an alternate reality.

12

I think the monster is the same one from the first movie. It's just 10 or so years older. My personal theory is that the first movie takes place in a different reality and when they cocked everything up it came through.

I dunno about the 1st movie being a different reality...that's just too convoluted & kinda serves no purpose.

Someone did mention that JJ referred to the 1st movie's monster as being a baby so maybe we're actually seeing the mother's appearance on Earth at the end of this movie..?

Since Letters won't answer my question, can anyone else?

Why is "multiple shooters" considered a better scenario to believe than just one?

It's not better, it's just what happened.

"Better" wasn't the most ideal term I should've used.

I was simply trying to understand why the implications of a 2nd shooter outweighed the tragedy in your mind..?

It doesn't. It makes it more tragic as the shooters involved will probably never see justice.

We seem to be going on a merry go-round with this...

In your opinion, in your belief, in your conviction...WHAT SPECIFIC theory are you pertaining to?

For WHAT purpose is the 2nd shooter theory being hidden from the general public?

I think it will be very interesting to see how this movie is viewed in 10-20 years time.

The way Disney plans to flog this franchise, TLJ will be long forgotten & buried amidst all the spin offs & new trilogies that's planned for the next 10-20 years.

The thing is, people have wildly bizarre reaction to tragedies so her smiling isn't necessarily strange behavior but conspiracy theorist, including letters, have always used victims/witness smiling as a reason to say they are crisis actors.

I totally understand bizarre reactions/behaviour to tragedy.

I was simply trying to point out that if there was an agenda to try & convince the public of a 2nd shooter...probably best to leave out the footage (real or fake) of a smiling girl as it's a distraction from whatever ulterior motive was behind the montage of interviews.
