The Oscars suck.

Now that that's out if the way, if they were operating on the Mythic level they're supposed to, I would say BP could get something for the technical side. But I didn't think the story or acting were genre or directiin breaking. Good movie, but yeah. Still way better than Infinity War, both aren't as good as Deadpool 2.

Lewis is a gun and I think he has odds on most heavyweights through history.

Seriously? He always seemed very mediocre to me.

Lewis is one of those rare fighters to where the sum of his parts was better than any one thing he did. He wasn't overwhelmingly faste or overwhelmingly strong but is fundamentals were just unbelievably solid. His right hand was superbly accurate. I think he'd have dusted Tyson even in prime.

I actually think nearly the opposite. Lewis is a gun and I think he has odds on most heavyweights through history. Guy was just accurate, Ali and Holmes have good odds on him because they could move and nowadays Fury would do alright to smother him and stay distant with his size.

Feels like Miss Peregrine's, BioShock and Watchmen fused.

There was a time Odin could have beaten SM. But ever since the female Thor, Odin has been nerfed. Nowadays SM wins mostly due to MU jobbing  almost every straight white male out there or demonizing them.

Whedin doesn't have the variety Snyder does. All his characters live in this world of juggled-awkward-snide dialogue. Where everything monstrous is subverted by a comment to enlighten the mood. His characters all behave and act pretty much the same.

Snyder for all the flack he gets, at least had a vision that didn't pander to the tentpole checklist.
And yet his vision SUCKED!MOS,BVS,& JLA all underperformed! His characterizations were terrible!

They were at least characters though. Whedon writes everyone the same.

And people still can't handle it.

I liked that movie, mostly.
It didnt hold up to a second viewing for me oddly.

Wait, you mean the 07 movie?

Both the minis and even the "Adventure" mini were a lot of fun.

I think a 1980's Tyson vs a 1960's Ali is actually closer than Prime Tyson vs non-physical prime Ali. The 70's Ali had such grit, he could not be denied until the last of him began to crumble.

So Tyson on any given day could potentially beat Ali. But on most days Ali would beat Tyson.

This looks like bad myspace era photoshop.

When discussing this at earlier, someone brought up that Jack Black should have been cast as Genie.

Exactly, Ali fought a murderers row of heavyweights and beat them all. Think about like that and yes Ali never fought someone like Tyson (physical, not perceptively - George was seen as the Boogeyman), Tyson never fought anyone close to Ali.

Look up the hook that Joe Frazier delivered to Muhammad Ali near the end of their first fight.

A lot of Tyson's explosiveness came from his size and how compact he was. The man was almost as wide and dense as he was tall we was still super fast just due to being more concentrated in size than most heavyweights.
